CapizNED HAWAK KAMAY with DSWD

Capiz NGO/PO Network for Enterprise Development, (CapizNED) Joins the Caravan of Civil

Society Organizations in the implementation of the FAMILY DEVELOPMENT SESSION and

FAMILY DEVELOPMENT SESSION PLUS.

CapizNED is a coalition of NGOs/Pos, believes in the purpose of the PANTAWID

PAMILYANG PILIPINO PROGRAM. Together with its member-partner organizations, Panitan

Development Foundation, Inc., CAIA, Inc., Send Now Prosperity. Inc., KASAJA, Inc.,;sHAWAK KAMAY PATUNGO SA KAUNLARAN PROJECT, through the FAMILY

DEVELOPMENT SESSION (FDS) is assisting the City Links and Municipal Links conduct

sessions to least 30% of the beneficiaries in 4 municipalities of Capiz, the Jamindan, Panitan,

Maayon and Pontevedra and in the City of Roxas and through the FAMILY DEVELOPMENT

SESSION PLUS (FDS PLUS) the SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM of the 4PS, the HAWAK

KAMAY LABAN SA KAHIRAPAN.

The Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program most popularly known as the 4Ps provides cashassistance to the poor to temporarily alleviate poverty. The HAWAK KAMAY LABAN SA

KAHIRAPAN PROJECT of the CapizNED and its member partner organization, KASADYA,

Inc. breaks the intergenerational poverty cycle through investment in human capital throughprovision of FAMILY MATURITY DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT or

ORGANIZING and ENTERPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT

The PROGRAM is implemented simultaneously in 2 barangays of the municipality of

JAMINDAN and another 2 barangays in the City of Roxas through the 4Ps beneficiaries. In the

First 3 months of the operation, the Program strengthen the knowledge of the beneficiaries on

HOW to FIGHT POVERTY, through provision of additional Capability Trainings on Project

Management, Policy Making and Laymans Bookkeeping Trainings, its causes and the effect it will

have to each member of the family/society. The organized groups of 4Ps beneficiaries will then be

registered with either the DOLE or SEC, with inputs on the use and repair & services of

computers to the HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE CHILDREN of the 4Ps beneficiaries andENCOURAGE them to avail of the 2 YEAR FREE EDUCATION SERVICES (IT or Com Sci)

of the CapizNED e-TRAINING CENTER.

On the 4th to 12th

month of operation, the ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT component of the

program follows using the MODULES of the Capiz NGO/PO Network for Enterprise

Development, (CapizNED), Inc. Series of trainings is being provided and FUND SOURCING for

the COMMUNITY BASE ENTERPRISE will also be facilitated

On the following years, THE HAWAK KAMAY LABAN SA KAHIRAPAN 1 plans to

MONITOR and PROVIDE GUIDANCE while the COMMUNITY BASE ENTERPRISE starts

its BUSINESS OPERATION.. MARKETING of their FINISHED PRODUCTS will beprovided with the help of the DTI or DOST for product development and exposure to markets.

They will have their own community base enterprise, owned and managed by them, which will

enable them to increase their income through SELF-EMPLOYMENT, while CapizNED and its

partners will continue to expand its assistance to other 4Ps groups in different areas.

While the remaining twelve (12) municipalities will be assisted through the expansion of the

HAWAK KAMAY LABAN SA KAHIRAPAN which hopefully be on the 3rd, 4

the program operation. And like the first batch, they too will have their own community base

enterprise which will enable them to increase their income through SELF-EMPLOYMENT.

GIVE THEM FISH and THEY WILL HAVE FISHFOR THE DAYBUT..TEACH THEM HOW TOFISH and THEY WILL HAVE FISH for the REST oftheir LIVES
