What is PCLake?
• Started as a model for
Phosphorus and Carbon
in the foodweb of Lake
Loosdrecht (an eutrophic
shallow lake) by
Jan Janse et al. (RIVM)
in the 80’s
• Generalised to PCLake
in the 90’s
• Was programmed in ACSL
• N.B.: It does contain
nitrogen, too..
How did PCLake and up in DELWAQ?
1990’s: Two dutch 1D (water quality) models:
STOWA – DUFLOW Delft Hydraulics - SOBEK
DELWAQ = WQ core of SOBEK
