Set amidst an ancient oak forest on the edge of Royal Deeside, Drum is simply unique among Scottish castles. The medieval tower, fine Jacobean mansion house and opulent Victorian interiors combine to striking effect. Once a Scottish stronghold and hunting lodge, Drum Castle is now a spectacular venue for intimate weddings.

Drum’s 16th-century chapel, nestled in the grounds amongst a copse of yew and holly trees, can hold religious ceremonies for up to 50. Guests can then spill out onto the historic south lawn for a champagne reception or take a private tour of the castle with one of our experienced guides.

During spring and summer, the Garden of Historic Roses is a kaleidoscope of colour and a romantic setting for alfresco weddings and drinks receptions. Combined with the castle, Drum Garden and Estate offer endless photo opportunities.

Within the castle, the elegant Library, with its large vaulted ceiling, rich wooden bookcases and open fireplace, provides a romantic setting for civil, religious and humanist ceremonies for up to 70 guests. A sumptuous meal for up to 50 can be held in the graceful Dining Room, looking out onto the beautiful grounds. Larger receptions can be held in a marquee on the south lawn against the backdrop of the floodlit castle.
