Os Guy, Samuel Peach, Annie Holliday and Alfie Burrows have all been successful this week in achieving this award. They are some of the smiliest children who have ever been awarded Richmond PRIDE, all definitely cking the enthusiasm box. The work that they have been producing is remarkable for children of that age and could give some of our older children a bit of a shock! Well done, you really are all super stars. Christmas has definitely arrived in school this week with the FS Songs on Wednesday aſternoon. Aſter giving people from home a quick wave they were ready to perform and did a super job at entertaining the audience with their singing. Thank you to the Foundaon Stage staff for organising all of this and to Mrs Soley from FORCE for providing refreshments to parents and friends. Today it has been lovely to see all the children in their Christmas jumpers, raising money for Save the Children. Plenty of work has also been going on in school, KS1 welcomed Mr Bastow into school on Monday to help them invesgate flammable and inflammable material and Year 3 and 4 have been finding out how Christmas is celebrated around the World. Mr Wells' class enjoyed an aſternoon at Richmond School playing badminton, some developing their skills and others learning a new skill. The Kindness Elf connues to work his magic around school and classes are enjoying having him in their classroom. Last Monday, I had the privilege of showing prospecve new vicars around our super school. I am delighted to let you know that the Reverend Marn Fletcher, currently serving as Vicar of Hersham in the Diocese of Guildford, has been appointed (Official tle: Rector of the United Benefice of Richmond with Hudswell and Downholme and Marske in the Ripon Episcopal Area of the Diocese of Leeds!). Next week connues to be full of Christmas cheer: Recepon to Year 6 will be vising the pantomime at the Georgian Theatre; KS1 perform their Navity; KS2 will be singing carols; we will all be aending Church and enjoying a delicious Christmas lunch. KS1 Flammable materials experiment

KS1 were very lucky today to have a firefighter from our local Fire station visit us in school to help us carry out an exciting science experiment.

To link in with our topic the Great Fire of London we wanted to test whether materials that we use to make houses were more or less flammable in 1666 compared to the present day.

Check out our pictures to see what we found out.

A massive thank you to Mr Bastow for helping us with our learning.

My name is Mrs Young and I'm really looking forward to teaching in Year 3/4 after Christmas. I have lived in and around Richmond for 10 years. I think we're all very lucky to live in such a super place! I have two children called Arthur (3) and Daisy (1) and they keep me very busy when I'm not at school! I like to keep fit and enjoy running. I love doing all kinds of things like cooking, gardening, reading, exploring, crafts and music (which is why being a teacher is awesome because you get to do lots of those things all the time). I hope you all have a lovely holiday and I can't wait to meet you properly after Christmas.

Foundation Stage Carols.

Our youngest children in school have

performed a selection of seasonal favourite

songs, rhymes and carols for parents and

carers. For some at only 3 years old this was

their first experience of performing and

whilst some had a little stage fright the

nerves soon abated and they were superb.

Well done Foundation Stage
