For long you have been capturing the mood of every section of society by covering various events and functions. With New Year round the corner, various social gathering and events will again be held with enthusiasm, pomp and show reflecting the joyous atmosphere all around. As you will be busy reporting these events, a marginalized section of the society will be left out, unintentionally. These persons are labeled as differently – abled, who have no dearth of willingness, zing and enthusiasm but their limitations coupled with the inaccessible, hostile environment around them, deprives them the opportunity of intermingling with the society and entertaining themselves. They often have to compromise on their emotional and entertainment quotient.

This was one of the reasons for the formation of our NGO, Yes We Can. Since the NGO is being run by a group of challenged persons, for betterment of themselves, we recognized this aspect. In our small endeavor, we have been organizing some entertainment events for them, to their delight. In addition to this, we also aspire to spread awareness and dispel some misconceptions about disability prevalent in the society. We want to give a message that these persons also have a right to live with dignity and celebrate life.

In our effort, we want to seek your noble support. On 31 st December 2015, a New Year party is being organized for these differently – abled persons. Therefore, we will be gratified and overwhelmed if you can capture the mood of these persons by covering the event, interact with them and preparing such a report as will benefit our cause. Your one initiative will go a long in furthering the cause of disability.
