Dr. Mohannad Barakat has given many presentations at national and international levels on the topics related to science and medicine. The presentations given at national levels include Multilevel Lumbar Spinal Stenosis Decompression - Mid term outcome using a modified Hinge osteotomy technique; New surgical technique for the management of Blount’s disease; Comparison of biomechanics of Total Hip Replacement and Hip resurfacing; and The long term outcome of bilateral hip surgery in severe cerebral palsy.

Internationally, he presented the scientific documents on the topics which include The range of movement of the thumb; New surgical technique for the management of Blount’s disease; Femoral Offset & Neck Thinning in Cemented and Uncemented Hip Resurfacing; New radiological appearance of osteonecrosis of the lateral condyle in tennis elbow; and Management of long bone fractures from road traffic accidents. Mohannad Barakat GMC, with his deep knowledge on the topics, was able to attract the attention of everyone present there.

In addition to the national and international presentations, he has also given some presentations locally. These include Hip resurfacing in the young adult: Cemented vs Uncemented; Peripheral Cannulation site association with Infection risk; and Unplanned admissions from the Day Surgery Unit, Royal Infirmary (RI).

Mr. Barakat always does great research on the topic whenever he has to give some presentation. He realizes that 'Less Knowledge is More Dangerous'. Thus, he tries to go into all the details of the topic before presenting any paper.

He has got membership and fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons. He is a specialist in Trauma, Orthopedic & Spinal Surgery and can handle all types of trauma surgery from simple to very complex. He has vast knowledge in different medical subjects.
