People choose to patronize businesses not based solely on price, but on the level of service received. This holds true for Dr. Matson’s practice. The office has been providing care for multi-generations of “Auburnites.” Family-friendly, where you are not a number but a person. The staff knows your name, your kids, pets and what you did on your last vacation. These details are many of the reasons people have continued to receive care from Dr. Matson. This is also the reason people refer friends and even strangers in the grocery store line and through social media to Dr. Matson when a mention is made that someone is looking for a dentist.

Despite a full, busy practice, Dr. Matson always has room for more. The passion he has for helping people be their best is contagious! He has a zest for life, and a dedication to great dental health for all.

Your Auburn Dental Home Visiting the dentist leaves many anxious, but Dr. Matson’s office provides a tranquil environment that quells those feelings. From the minute you walk into Dr. Matson’s office, you know the utmost care was taken in creating a space reminiscent of home. Your visit starts with a big smile and hello from Ruth at check-in, followed by a hot beverage to sip next to the cozy fire while you wait. Dr. Matson has spent years creating the perfect, welcoming space choosing inviting décor, accents and accessories throughout the space. The office is located at 1314 8th Street NE Suite 104. Though not the original location, it has been a mainstay here in Auburn since 1990. After graduating from Loma Linda University, California, Dr. Matson made the conscious decision to move home to Washington and begin his career in Auburn. When we asked “why Auburn”, his response was simple: Auburn has character and charm which reminds him of his childhood hometown of Sequim, Washington.

Dr. Matson has made it his commitment and mission to transform smiles and change lives. In order to achieve his mission for dental excellence, he has taken his more than twenty-five years of tried and true dental experience and combined those skills with the latest techniques and technology to provide each patient with the most current care possible.

Prime examples are the digital scanning system and 3D printer. These high-tech devices have revolutionized dentistry to enhance patient experience and allow dentists to give you the fastest and most effective treatment available. The 3D printer has the capability of printing a crown on site while you wait. No more waiting for the crown or onlay to arrive a couple of weeks later.

Building a successful dental practice has taken many years of hard work and dedication, but being able to give back has made the venture worthwhile. Realizing, there is a growing need in third world countries for dental care, Dr. Matson and his wife, Janey, of twenty-three years, packed up their dental equipment and traveled to a small village in Burkina Faso, Africa, on a personal mission to provide dental services to the people. This has become an annual trip for the two who are on a mission to brighten smiles around the world.

The addition of VRstudios’ system to Muckleshoot Casino reflects our commitment to delivering unique, must-experience entertainment to our guests,” said Conrad Granito, General Manager of Muckleshoot Casino. "We chose VRstudios for its superior VR capabilities, rich content and all-in-one suite of solutions. Merrill Gardens at Auburn

Our brand-new senior living community is almost ready and we can’t wait to throw open our doors and welcome residents to their new home next month!

Construction is nearing completion and we anticipate that we will be ready for residents to begin moving in sometime in February. Leasing has been moving at a brisk pace and our team, led by General Manager Lynda Krill, is ready to help residents choose their new home. The leasing office is open at 14 South Division Street (right across the street from the community) and we encourage anyone who is interested to drop by and visit Monday through Saturday from 9:00am until 5:00pm.

“The excitement is really building as we get closer to opening. Residents are getting ready to make the big move and we can’t wait to share the Merrill Gardens lifestyle. Our mission is to provide an inspiring environment for our residents, families and team members where every life is defined by the possibilities – and we are ready to do just that!” says Krill.

Merrill Gardens at Auburn is smack dab in the heart of downtown Auburn and the community will offer independent living, assisted living and memory care for senior residents. There is no large up front buy in and we offer month to month rental that includes dining, housekeeping, 24-hour staffing, scheduled transportation and a well-rounded activities program. We also welcome small pets.

“For those who are considering the move to Merrill Gardens at Auburn, now is the time! Residents can find the apartment that best suits their needs and learn about Merrill Gardens signature programs - including our Enjoy More Anytime Dining program. Our restaurant style dining room is open from 7am to 7pm with no set meal hours and residents can visit throughout the day for meals (and snacks!) as often as they like,” said Krill.
