As the school has stood the test of time over the years by not only being number 1 in North East in academics, but also in having promoted an all round growth amongst the students. Supported by a team of counsellors and special educators the school guides each student along /through any sort of psychological or emotional disturbances during school hours. Whenever needed parents are also counselled to help them cope with the pressures they face. Through Career Counselling we help our students choose an appropriate course and university of their choice within India and abroad. Homely care and guidanceThe air conditioned DPS Hostel, housing both boys as well as girls, in two separate blocks and serving separate vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian meals, is a home away from home.

It offers 2/4/8 seater rooms with modern amenities for students of classes VI and above and yet bigger dormitories for those of classes III, IV & V.

The hostel has two separate audio-visual halls fitted with home theatres and a common recreational arena with various indoor games like Pool, Billiards, Table Tennis, Gymnasium etc. Boarders’ laundry is taken care of by state of the art automated machines. Hygienically cooked food is nutritionally well balanced. Special Prep classes are arranged subject-wise where the teachers provide personal care to the boarders in individual subjects all through the week.

My son last year took admission in class 3. Being quite away from my home, I was initially hesitant. It turned out to be a good decision.

Our ancient civilization prospered for thousands of year because our teaching were based on question-answer, raising inquiries, doubts and holding discussion between Guru and his pupils. It was not a one way instruction. Pupils were encouraged to ask questions and if not satisfied, reject the teachings without being disrespectful. For example, in Gita, Arjuna the pupil rejects many teachings and Krishna teaches many alternatives to attain Moksha.

I am happy to note that my son feels quite comfortable with his teacher and it seems that he has no problems in communicating with his teacher. I think thats a great beginning of his student life. I thank and congratulate the school administration and the teachers.

A second trusted home is what DPS, Guwahati is for both my children. I express my appreciation and gratitude for the Junior wing for helping my children to evolve as good human being, as I feel it is that time during which children get moulded and shaped for the future including moral build up. I also appreciate the on time completion of curriculum in middle and senior wings that shows the commitment of the faculties. I think DPS, Guwahati is one of the institutions that can boast of great resourceful team of faculty and a dynamic visionary Principal. Also the fact that it has probably the best science faculty in class XI and XII has given the parents a great sense of relief, as we know that our wards are in safe hands. Moreover I quite liked the way the school functions, its policies and professionalism. Its been long thirteen years of association and I have seen an enormous growth, hope it grows more and more and provide an ideal platform to showcase the talents of the children of north-eastern region and help them compete in national and international level.

The teachers are blessed with a talent that no one can match. Teachers, I wish God gives you much more strength and courage to do what you are destined to. Finally I thank you all for making a difference in our children’s lives.

It seemed a difficult task to compare and select a good school for my two kids in class 9th and 6th,who came to join me mid-session last year in Guwahati from Delhi. However, in her first visit to DPS Guwahati, my daughter could relate quickly to the curriculum, the sprawling campus and the ambiance, which seemed much akin to their school - DPS RK Puram, in Delhi and that made our task easier in coming to a decision. And in hindsight I think the selection was correct, since change from Delhi to Guwahati for the kids could be well managed as we found them adjusting in a short time of 4 months to the change and I am thankful to the teachers and the staff who made them comfortable.

The school is located away from the rustle bustle of the city and the quality of education is at par with the best in Guwahati. The teachers in senior classes do try and give their extra bit in after school hours too. Equipped with good safety standards and strict access control, I fondly remember the school science exhibition where the display of creativity & enthusiasm of the kids coupled with encouragement from the staff was truly par excellence. Equipped with modern sports and extra curricular facilities in the modern building, with beautiful green landscaping around, it is noteworthy that to take care of academic load, the stress on extra-curriculars has been restricted for the students in class 9th and 10th so that the children can concentrate on their board exams. This has been appreciated by most of the parents.

I wish the school and its staff, the best in their endeavour to rise up to the expectations of the parents and public at large in Guwahati in providing all round education for the children.

It’s been a pleasure being a part of DPS hostel family. I joined the hostel in class VII and didn’t even realize how time flew. I have nearly come to the end of a beautiful chapter in my life. In the absence of our biological parents, tutors residing within the hostel premises became our guardians who supported us in all our endeavours. Following the old tradition and adding some new was a fun part of the hostel life. Here, with friends, I lived each day to the fullest without realizing that we are making memories that would last forever.

I’ve been associated with Delhi Public School Guwahati from the year 2015 having joined this institution in Class 9th. In these four years the guidance that I have received from my teachers has been of great help to me. They were always there to clarify any misconceptions and never hesitated to explain concepts in depth. Moreover, the excellent laboratories helped me a lot in practically understanding the intricacies of the subject matter being taught in the class. The lush and open surroundings helped a lot in relaxing my mind and refreshing me. I am very grateful to my teachers and also to my friends for providing such a wonderful environment for pursuing my interests in academics.

The support received by a student in school, irrespective of their interests, plays a pivotal role in moulding their personality and contributes constructively in the course of their life.

I would like to express my gratitude to the entire DPSG fraternity (especially my teachers) for providing me unflinching support and encouragement to follow my passion (Taekwondo) and excel in it. I have witnessed how DPSG grooms students in their respective interests apart from the academic excellence it injects into them. The lessons I imbibed in this institution have made me a better human being and I will cherish the memories associated with DPSG throughout my life.

I remember my first day in DPSG very vividly. I couldn’t speak English with fluency then the way I can now. DPSG sculpted me to a level that stage fright is now a thing of the past. Having found my forte in public speaking, I tried hard to maintain a good academic record. Although I struggled from time to time, the institution always supported me in all my endeavours. As my departure is round the corner, I can proudly say “once a dipsite, always a dipsite”.

I first joined DPSG back in 2012, in class VI. The first thing that struck me as a student was how friendly and communicative the teachers were. And that very year I was exposed to play drums and it soon became my passion. And thus began my “crusade’’ in music, representing the school many a times as a tablist and percussionist. The school essentially kick-started my career in music and the teachers, were very supportive. For that I am indebted to the school. The memories associated with this school will always remain fresh in my mind.
