School Uniform• Please refer to the school uniform policy on the
school website.
Additional reminders: • Hair should be tied back using a scrunchie, hair band, clip or ribbon that is black,
brown or green.
• Hair gel should not be used style hair.
• Minimal jewellery should be worn for practical, health and safety reasons.
• A wristwatch and/or single stud earring in each ear lobe are permitted.
• All jewellery should be removed for PE and games. If earrings cannot be removed then tape must be provided to cover earrings up.
• Please provide daps or trainers for PE as these will be needed throughout the year.
• Nail varnish and make-up are not permitted.
• No keyrings on bookbags, just one small identifying tag.

• Gates open at 8.30am• Pupils may go straight to their classrooms – change
books, hang up coats etc. and put away snacks and/or lunch-boxes assemble on the school playground

KS1 Snack Time
• In KS1, snacks are provided for children. However, we do not know what there will be each day and cannot guarantee that particular snacks will always be available.
• You may therefore wish to provide your child with a snack (fruit and vegetables only) which should be named. *please cut grapes and cherry tomatoes in half.*
• Please also provide your child with a bottle of water (squash is not permitted) in a named bottle each day. Children will have opportunity to access this throughout the day and refill their bottles when needed.

House System
• This ensures a consistent approach to rewarding positive choices, encouraging a sense of pride and achievement, and fostering a community spirit
• All children, including new Foundation Stage children, are assigned a House
• House points will be awarded to children for positive behaviour, effort and attitude, quality of work and demonstrating the Rush Common Values.
• At the end of the year a House Cup will be awarded to the winning house and displayed in a central position
