IntroductionTransport and Communication plays an
important roleCommon modes of Transport are Airtransport,Railways,Road and
marine(Sea) Survey report of 2014-15 shows that it
account for 11% of GDP & Provide 2.3 million Jobs i.e 6% of total employment
“Communication” derived from Latin language. “Communnis and communicare” are two Latin words which means 'make something common‘. “is a the imparting or exchanging of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium”.
Telecomunication “communication over a distance by cable, telegraph, telephone, or broadcasting”.
TelecommunicationTelecom revenues during Jul-Dec 2014-15,
amounted to Rs.299.0 billion which made this sectorvery attractive for further investment.
Auction of 3G /4G spectrum is the major achievement of the government in TelecomSector and has brought an investment of US$ 1790 million.
Cellular Mobile subscribers reached to 134.9 million at the end of March, 2015.
During July-Dec, 2014-15, Telecom sector contributed 73.22 billion to the national exchequer in terms of taxes etc.

Roads TransportPakistan’s total road network is around 263,942 Kms
which carries over 96 percent of inland freight and 92 percent of passenger traffic.
• Length of NHA road network is around 12,131 kms comprises of 39 national highways,motorways, expressway and strategic roads.
During 2014-15, NHA executed 72 development projects costing Rs. 1,342 billion. Government of Pakistan has allocated Rs. 111.56 billion in the Federal PSDP 2014-15 for NHAs development projects.
