Don, Lanette, D.J. we are so sorry to hear about Heather. Jamie just saw her
picture in the paper today(Fri. Dec. 12) We are so sad and our hearts are full
of love for all of you. Death is an enemy, it was not Jehovah's original purpose
for us to die. That's why we mourn so deeply because it wasn't meant for us to
lose our loved ones in death. You guys are a dear family to us. We enjoyed
our yrs. of cleaning for you and getting to know your family. Heather was
always very polite and sweet to us. No words can really help or truly comfort
any of you at this time but as one more family we want to say we care and will
pray for you to be able to endure this almost unendurable loss. Love Bruce,

Don, Lanette, and Don JR It will be impossible to understand why these things
happen. We can only go on knowing that these things happen for a reason,
one in which we may never know. Heather is being watched over by the only
one a parent can truely trust to take care of there children our Lord and Savior.
I only met Heather a couple of times but im sure she would want the good
times remembered. Heather was a beautiful young lady and was so blessed to
have a family who cared so much for her. My thoughts and prayers are with

Heather was one of the most outgoing people i have ever known. She was
always so kind to everyone and took them into her heart with care. She would
have never hurt anyone on purpose. She was great at everything she did and
she was very well loved by her family. I didn't know much of her family but i did
know her dad and brother. I worked at the Dairy Queen and saw them come in
pretty often. The love I saw between this family could have not been any
stronger. My prayers are with each and every one of you and Heather we will
all miss you so very much. Amber Lilly (Mckinney, TX)AMBER LILLY, DECEMBER 9, 2008

I had the pleasure of having a speech class with Heather at Grayson. She was
truly an awesome young lady. She spoke articulately and passionately about
telling people what they mean to you and encouraged the other kids to tell their
parents that they love them. She was quick to befriend new people and was
always excited to share new things she had "discovered" (ie. her new favorite
band.) She was vibrant and always smiling. I am sure her father must be
proud, and I wanted to take the opportunity to tell him what a great job he and
Heather's step-mom did with Heather. She spoke highly of both of you. I am
sorry for your loss, and blessed to have met your beautiful daughter. Cathy

This was read at both of my parent's funerals. I do not know who the author is,
but as we get older, it seems truer every day: When I was a child I used to
think of Heaven as a glorious golden city, with jeweled walls, and gates of
pearl, with nobody it, but the angels, and they were all strangers to me. But
after a while my little brother died; then I thought of Heaven as that great city,
full of angels, with just one little fellow in it that I was acquainted with. He was
the only one I knew there, at that time. Then another brother died, and there
were two in Heaven that I knew. Then my acquaintances began to die, and the
number of my friends in Heaven grew larger all the time. But, it was not till one
of my own little ones was taken that I began to feel that I had a personal
interest in Heaven. Then a second went, and a third, and a fourth; and so
many of my friends and loved ones have gone there, that it seems as if I know
more in Heaven than I know on earth. And now, when my thoughts turn to
Heaven, it is not the gold and the jewels and the pearls that I think of—but the
loved ones there. It is not the place so much as the company that makes
Heaven seem beautiful.A FRIEND OF THE FAMILY ., DECEMBER 9, 2008

I met Heather very early on in my pastorate at FBC WW, and she has been an
absolutely amazing bright spot in my life and ministry here! We had some very
meaningful conversations about our faith, the trials of life, and about our
mutual interests in poetry and music. Heather IS one of the most vibrant and
positive people I know. She lives on in her eternal victory with Christ her
Savior, I have no doubt because of her faith in Christ! Don, Lannette, and D.J.,
you are in my continual prayers! May the peace of God that surpasses human
understanding guard your hearts.PASTOR LEON A. VEAZEY, DECEMBER 8, 2008
Heather was like an older sister to me just the same as DJ is like a brother to
me. Heather was the most kind person and I will miss her as I have missed
many of my family members. Heather may be gone, but her spirit lives in part
of everyone that knew her. To Heather's family, I am sorry for your loss of
Heather but you must remember that God will take care of her and we must
pray that we might get to see her once again. I will never forget Heather and
that is what I promise. Heather Rhoads was one of the kindest people I had
ever met. Heather will never be forgotten by those of us who knew her. She
was a very kind and caring person who could always make a bad day better.
She will live with the Lord and when our time comes, we will see her again.
May Heather rest in peace for eternity. H.R. JewellROBERT CHARLES HUGH RODNEY "H.R." JEWELL, DECEMBER 8, 2008

wow where do i begin....my cousin, my friend. I know that we lived thousands
of miles apart, but we managed to still stay in contact somehow. I will always

Well now not just god, but you also! Im greatful that i can say that a person as
good as you i can call not only my friend but my family. You were such as
beautiful and good person! you will never be forgotten....! I hope as a family we
will find some kind of happiness in the future, i know that this will be one of the
hardest thing as a family that we will have to deal with. As most of all your
father...Donnie, im so sorry and i have no words to console to you at this time.
Please just know that you and the rest of the family are in our thoughts and
prayers and that if you or the family ever need anything we are just a phone

happen! We love you all.... Heather, please know that you are and will always
