THANK YOU !
Thought for the month.
On your marks, get set, go! Are we ready for Christmas?
Not in terms of turkey, trees and presents. But rather, in terms of the arrival of God in the form of a baby. Are our hearts ready for one of the most momentous events in the history of the world, Emmanuel, God with us?
As the season of Advent progresses, may we take the opportunity to stop and consider what it means for us in our day to day lives. May we try and encourage others to come to some of our services over December, and have the chance to experience for themselves the real joy of Christmas.
And may we pray that all who come will sense something of God’s love for them. May this be our prayer for ourselves and for others:
“O Holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us we pray. Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today.
We hear the Christmas angels, the great glad tidings tell. O come to us, abide with is, our Lord Emmanuel.”
