1. Concept of ICTs
• Meaning: Set of technological tools
• Definition: Information and communication technologies are electronic tools for storing, processing and disseminating extension information and communication .
(Balaji et al., 2007)
• Components: TV, digital radio, e-mail, Internet etc.
• Areas of Operation: GIS, RS, e-extension, e-Governance etc.
• Advantages / Disadvantages.
