  • 2. How can we do link building? First, lets ask, what is link building?
  • 3. How can we do link building? First, lets ask, what is link building? Link building is the method of creating content or actionables to get people to link to your site, content, posts, etc.
  • 4. How can we do link building? In social media, there is no clear version of link building. Instead, we arent link building, but we ARE building links.
  • 5. Think LINK-NETWORKING In social, we spread links to our websites and our offerings. We can also spread our message across the various social media platforms.
  • 6. Step One: The Description Place your website link in your social media description. Then, if possible, place it in any short description and long description as well.
  • 7. Step Two: Mention Authorities When you post, use and cite authorities in your niche. Twitter = @mention Google+ = +Mention Facebook = [mention]
  • 8. Step Two: Mention Authorities Remember, with most social media, you should already be following, have in a circle or have liked that authority. By sharing authority information and people, you will become an authority as well.
  • 9. Step Three: The Right Comments Use a WordPress plugin for website comments. Use Comments Evolved for WordPress With it, your comments on your website translate to Facebook and Google+!
  • 10. Step Four: Link Platforms Use social media platforms to link information and posts between platforms. Most platforms have a Link to post option. Place this in other social platforms to create more linking and traffic.
  • 11. Step Five: Use Tagging Especially in Facebook, you can use a call to action to have your community tag their friends. You can use Twitter mentions, and Google+ tagging to do the same.
  • 12. Step Six: Include info in images Place your link in images. Place links in header and profile images. Place links and calls to action in video.
  • 13. Step Seven: Promote Others Twitter has #FF = Follow Friday Facebook has mentioning, with a direct go like our friends here Google+ is less like this, but you can still mention pages. In the end, promote authority and expand.
  • 14. What did you learn? Edit your social media account for links. Use call to actions to promote yourself. Link your information between platforms. Use a social media plugin for commenting on your blog.
