To commemorate the World Day of the Poor (November 18, 2018), Catholic media throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto have partnered to draw greater aenon to this important occasion in the life of the church. Please join us in prayer and outreach as the global church lis its collecve voice to support the poor among us. This iniave draws on work conducted by the Catholic Media Commission, chaired by Bishop Robert Kasun.
“This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him”
Pope Francis invites all the faithful in our parishes, associaons and ecclesial movements to make tangible the Church’s response to the cry
of the poor, to experience this World Day as a privileged moment of new evangeliza-on. The Pope emphasizes that the poor evangelize us and help us each day to discover the beauty of the Gospel. On this Second World Day of the Poor the Holy Father hopes that all of us feel that we are in debt to the poor, because, in hands outstretched to one another, a salvific encounter can take place to strengthen our faith, inspire our charity and enable our hope to advance securely on our path towards the Lord who is to come.

Annual Altar Server Award
Pastor’s Corner
D ear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, This year we are doing something different with our parish envelops. In the past we would hand out the envelopes by name. But this year we are doing it a bit
different and will help speed the process for all involved – for you and for the office staff. I will now let Deanna, our parish secretary, explain the new procedure for picking up your new 2019 envelopes. Blessings, Fr. Liborio 2019 Offertory Envelopes Our church is famous for it’s very healthy squirrel populaon. Why? You may wonder, it’s because they are nuts about their parish! Especially the trees. Our new envelope system will save money, me and reduce paper waste (trees ). It also gives the office an opportunity to update our rec-ords and ensure that your tax receipt will be correct.
Don’t worry it’s as easy as one, two, three. 1. Please pick up any new box of envelopes. 2. On the first three envelopes you use, print your full name, mailing address and phone number clearly and you will be assigned the number on the box that
you have picked. 3. Have a blessed day. Envelopes will be available beginning December 1st, 2018.
