Key Action-Adventure Codes & Conventions
• ‘High Concept’ (Justin Wyatt – 1994) blockbuster with the ability to “hook” the audience in with adrenaline pumping action.

• ‘Star appeal’ (Richard Dyer) not just in the form of actors like Johnny Depp, but also producers such as Jerry Bruckheimer.
• Conforms to Yvonne Taskers (2004) views of the genre being nothing more than a “dumb fun spectacle”.
