TERRITORY singerLuke Kennedy is set tosing in next week’s grandfinal of The Voice.

He managed to stay inthe competition despite atouch-and-go week inwhich his single of StevieWonder’s Overjoyedfailed to make an impacton the iTunes charts.

He beat fellow TeamRicky contestant MissMurphy and will nowcompete against TeamDelta’s Celia Pavey,Team Seal’s HarrisonCraig and Team Joel’sDanny Ross in nextweek’s final.

This week’s show sawhim return to his oper-atic roots with a versionof Lucio Dalla’s stirringaria Caruso, followed byhis original song Love IsBlind, a heartfelt tuneabout break-ups inspiredby his dark days, which

have been referencedthroughout the series.

A PENSIONER’S TV setwas broken for almosttwo months after she‘‘went digital’’, but fixedhours after the NT Newsrevealed her plight.

Theresa O’Brien hadbeen unable to watchHawthorn AFL matchesor her favourite showDeal or No Deal since Ap-ril, when she called thenumber on a FederalGovernment pamphletabout digital switchover.

The screen on the four-month-old flatscreen wasblank after the contrac-tor ‘‘switched’’ her fromanalogue to digital. Andit remained that way.

But after a page 9 storyyesterday, a technician

called to her Rapid Creekhome in Darwin andbrought the world backto her living room within90 minutes.

‘‘I’m ecstatic — I’ve gotTV,’’ the 65-year-old said.

‘‘It’s beautiful.‘‘The first technician

did a bodgy job. He put ina wrong antenna.
