& 4)

to maximize learning.
Jan. 5 Tech Tools and Webpage Updates
Rtl Tier 1 Strategy – Model tasks/guided instruction, Explicit Instruction,
Multiple opportunities for practice, Active engagement (Includes Standard
4 – facilitating learning at appropriate levels and integration of
technology) Learn how to use a variety of Tech Tools and update your webpage.
Feb. 2 Behavior Management: Building Self-Control and Focus
RTI Tier 1 Strategy – Encouraging effort (Includes Standard 1a – leading in
the classroom)
Learn strategies for working with student who lack focus and self-control
including behavior analysis and individual behavior plans.
Mar. 1 Effective Feedback
RTI Tier 1 – Specific corrective feedback (Includes Standard 4 – facilitating
learning and 2d adapting for students with special needs)
Learn how to provide specific corrective feedback to students on both
their work and work habits.
April 5 Building Hope and Growth Mindset for the End of the Year
RTI Tier 1 – Encouraging effort – (Includes standard 2b – embracing

Lean how to help students prepare for the end of year assessments through

Location: Meetings at Thomasville Middle School’s Media Center
Time: 3:15 – 4:30 Unless otherwise scheduled
BLT 3 Staff:Mentors and BLT 3 staff will discuss 3 articles provided
during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters.
Observations: All BLT 1, 2 and 3 teachers do 2 observations each year.
One observation should be of the mentor and another
peer. Mentors and administrators assist in selection of
the peer for the observation.
Video: All BLT 1, 2 and 3 staff will do a videotaped lesson and
review it with the mentor.
Make Up: Online PD modules will be used for makeup sessions as well as information in the Live Binder.
