The MOOCseum is an online learning
model designed to allow a large
number of people to access, discuss,
create and collaborate with one
another around a curated museum
exhibit. The MOOCseum will provide a unique
interactive and collaborative opportunity
for interested parties to engage with the
exhibition through moderated discussion,
guest speakers, exhibit-specific knowledge
curation, and digital artifact creation and
collaboration.

How Does the MOOCseum
Work?
- The MOOCseum would run in correlation with an exhibit at theWeisman Museum.- Anyone interested in participating can register either througha Pepperdine site or via a third-party hosted site. - Every week of the MOOCseum will focus on a theme relating tothe museum’s exhibit. - The MOOCseum will provide thematic questions and primary sources for perusal of those in the course.- Course members will create knowledge through blogs, social media, discussion board, and collaboration with others.- The MOOCseum will be supplemented by two weekly course sections – one general discussion of the week, and a guest speaker on the topic.
