Camera and Microscope ControlThis allows digital camera and microscope* operationsto be controlled from the software. A complete series ofprocesses, from initial observation to final reportcreation, can be completed on your PC.*Controllable cameras are limited to models introduced in this catalog
and microscopes are limited to our microscopes. Controllable functions
vary according to the models.
MeasurementCounting particles...measuring dimensions...calculatingthe distance between two lines...analySIS FIVE handlestasks like these with ease. Results can also besaved/output together with the images.
DatabaseThe software systematically stores all your images, analysis results, datasheets, graphs, and other acquireddata. This makes it easy to grasp the complete picture, and to search for whatever data you need.
ReportImages can be laid out and edited without anyrestriction. Some example documentation templates areprovided, or you can create original formats, producingprofessionally-finished reports and documents inwhatever styles you choose.
Stitching ImagesMultiple adjacent images can be stitched together intoone, in a natural way that doesn't show abrupt joints. This function is especially useful for observing largeareas which cannot be captured in a single image.
Image acquisition, processing, analysis, storage...the many features of analySIS FIVE ensureseamless software operations
Extended Focal ImageMultiple versions of the same image, each focused at adifferent position, can be combined to produce a single,wholly-focused image. This function allows clearimaging of samples with different height levels on thesurface, which cannot be observed all together at thesame time conventionally.
3D ImageBy adding height/texture information to multi-focusedimages obtained with the "Extended Focal Image"(see above), you can create realistic 3D views.
Particle AnalysisAutomatic separation of particles within a given image ispossible using the integrated separator function. Userscan set a specific "detection area" or ROI (region ofinterest). Many other parameters can be used tomeasure all particles automatically, or carry out statisticaldata processing.
Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT)Used to analyze frequency, FFT enables patternrecognition and the creation of special short/long passfilters to eliminate or preserve specific frequency ranges. A shortpass filter eliminates noise at high spatialfrequencies, while a longpass filter passes high spacialfrequency elements to obtain sharper or more clearlyoutlined images.
Imaging CThis original programming language lets users write theirown programs, custom-tailoring their work environmentby automating frequently-used analysis patterns oradding other original functions to expand the software'scapabilities.

analySIS particle inspector Particle analysis means users can quantitatively record and analyzeimage objects. The applications for this kind of evaluation arenumerous. One example is quality assurance for carbon fiberreinforced plastic materials. This requires particle analysisconducted within a fiber, resin and pore analysis context.Characters • Rapid detection of particle parameters• Threshold-based evaluation of image particles
analySIS filter inspector Cleanliness is of particular significance in many industrialapplications. Virtually every production process and every producthas specific requirements with regard to cleanliness. Here are somesample applications where filter analysis is used: determiningcontamination of lubricants, hydraulic fluids, fuels, carbonparticulate in diesel emissions and when monitoring residues inengine blocks, transmissions, camshafts and crankshafts.Characters • A residue analysis with high resolution — quick analysis• Determining number and character of residue particles precisely• The particle standard, an integrated validation tool

analySIS inclusion inspector Non-metallic inclusions in steel are the cause of dangerous andserious material defects such as brittleness and a wide variety ofcrack formations. Non-metallic inclusions are sulphidic or oxidic in composition andare due to the melting process. All steels contain non-metallicinclusions to a greater or lesser extent. It is particularly important todetermine how pure the steel is. This provides information on theextent of sulphidic and oxidic non-metallic inclusions present.Characters • Detecting inclusions no matter what the field of view• Distinguishes between sulphidic and oxidic inclusions • Compatible with ASTM E45, DIN 50602 and JIS G-0555
