The following guidelines have been established:
• Masks will be required at all times other than during a workout or other fitness
activity. Class instructors are not required to wear a mask while teaching.
• Each staff person and member will have their temperature taken prior to entering
the building. Those with a temperature of 100° or higher will not be allowed in the
facility.
• Members will be required to sign a waiver upon returning to HLOKC. HLOKC staff will
be cleaning and taking every precaution we can to keep you safe, but ultimately you
are responsible for your own safety.
• Each room of the facility will have capacity limits and those will be posted on signs.
Staff and volunteers will be monitoring the rooms. Please note that you may
experience a wait time.
• Members will enter through the front doors as usual, but will exit through the door
in the fitness lounge.
• To ensure as many members as possible can access the facility, please limit your time
at the center to two hours.
What to expect when you arrive….
• When you approach the front door, you will notice tape of the sidewalk. Please wait
on the tape and advance only as a tape mark is free in front of you.
• Before entering the building, a staff person or volunteer will take your temperature
just outside the front door. This person will also make sure you are wearing a mask.
• After your temperature has been taken, you will go inside the vestibule and sign a
waiver.
• After the waiver has been signed, you will proceed to the front desk to scan your
membership card. If your account is up to date, you are free to continue to your
destination in the building. If you need to reinstate your membership, a staff person
will help you.
New HLOKC Safety Guidelines
Due to current social distancing guidelines, reservations will be required for certain
activities that have limited space. Information is provided below:
Art labs and classes – Please email [email protected] for reservations in art
labs and classes. If you see an art class in this directory that you would like to attend,
simply email Cheryl for availability. Although class size may be smaller, we have
expanded classes to larger areas when possible to accommodate.
Personal Training – As usual, please work with your trainer to schedule times.
Pickleball – Pickleball reservations can be made online. Starting June 8, all three courts
will be open for play with a limit of 20 players in the gymnasium. Each member is
allowed 4 reservations for the week of June 8 to allow everyone a chance to play. The
link is https:https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040A49A5A729A6FB6-pickleball1
Swimming – The pool will be available for lap swimming and water walking by
reservation only. For the week of June 8, we will have 2 lap lanes open all day, with 2
lap swimmers per lane. We will also have an open swim area for water walking and
bobbing that can accommodate 4 swimmers at a time. In order to allow as many
members as possible an opportunity to swim, each members is allowed 3 reservations
for the week of June 8. Many people use the pool to help relieve arthritis and for low
impact strength training after an injury, so by limiting your swim to 3 times per week
you are allowing those who need to swim an opportunity to participate. Reservations
can be made online at https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040A49A5A729A6FB6-free
***The quickest way to reserve the time slot you want is by following the links above,
but you can also call the center at 405-773-6910 to make a reservation during normal
business hours. We cannot accept reservations by voicemail or message. ***

Update from Tenessa of SSM
Hello Everyone!
I’m excited to announce that blood pressure checks (currently and for-
merly offered twice monthly) will resume next week, but there will be
some changes in the flow and even some new options, so please see
the following for guidance and look for the available dates/times as
we resume this opportunity for HLOKC members.
• All blood pressure checks will be scheduled per a sign-up sheet located outside the
SSM Healthy Living Clinic (in the main lobby next to the café).
• There will be a limited number of timed spaces for now to allow for proper
disinfecting between each member and social distancing, so be sure to sign up.
• Two opportunities will be available in June for blood pressure checks. I will be
offering blood pressure checks in the clinic as well as “curbside” checks outdoors
(weather permitting) for those who might not want to come inside just yet. The
“curbside” checks will be later in June.
• As per the current practice here at HLOKC, a mask will be required for in clinic
checks, however they will be optional with the “curbside” checks (I will be wearing
my mask and eye protection when doing the outdoor checks for your protection and
mine).
• Exceptions – you may sign up 2 people per time slot IF you are from the same
household (i.e. spouses or housemates). If this will apply to you, I ask that you
indicate that on the sign-up sheet.
As always, procedures, times, etc. are subject to change and I will be listening to
members’ suggestions for possibilities to add more opportunities per month.
I’m so excited to be able to offer this service to you once again and look forward to
seeing you all soon! Sincerely, Tenessa
