Thank you to CMS and all our wonderful volun-teers who are distributing the lunches. Their ser-vice is helping to make sure no child goes hungry.
St Martin de Porres Food Pantry Canned vegetables, fruit and cereal are in great need. Monetary donations also help keep the pantry shelves filled. Checks can be made to St Martin de Porres and placed in the collection. Thank you for your continued support.
Are you an active member? Active membership at Our Lady of Consolation is determined by 4 things: 1. Registering in the parish using the Reg. form, and alerting the office to any changes. Forms are available online and from the ushers. 2. Attending Mass faithfully. 3. Participating in parish ministry and community. 4. Using your envelopes. (The envelopes help the office know that you are active.)
Each Mass is a powerful prayer, and a special Mass intention is a way to remember your family members and friends, living or deceased, and anniversaries, birthdays, or any special occasions. A stipend is requested for each Mass intention. Please contact the parish office or Father Carl to request a Mass intention.

Reflection FOCUS ON THE MISSION “There are so many things to do.” “We have so little time.” How many variations of these statements have you heard or even said yourself? Actually neither statement is completely true. There are many things to do in this life, but really few things that are vitally important. Working, searching, conniving, and worrying our way to “gratify[ing] the desires of the flesh,” as Paul relates in today’s second reading, are really non-productive. So little time? When we take on the freedom that Christ offers us, we have all the time we need in this world, and even more in the next. Elisha, the prophet Elijah’s chosen servant, was slightly befuddled about what he should do. When Elijah called, he returned to bid farewell to his parents and provide food for his people. Only then did he follow. Jesus demands something different, something more of his disciples. He calls us to a single-minded determination to drop everything and follow him. Now, not later. Maryknoll Priest to visit OLC Saturday and Sunday July 9 & 10, we will welcome Fr Leo Shea who will be preaching at all the Masses here at Our Lady of Consolation. Fr. Shea will share the story of a unique Catholic organization which provides an important service in preparing priests, Religious women and lay people who wish to serve in overseas mission. For many years Fr Shea has worked with Intercultural Consultation Services (ICS), which was started by the Maryknoll Fathers & Brothers. Intercultural Consultation Services also conduct extensive cross-cultural workshops to prepare the many clergy and Religious women who are now coming to serve the Church here in the United States from Asia, Africa and Latin America. this important ministry. ICS has been invited by our Diocese to participate in our annual Missionary Cooperative Program.
