JAYNE'S INSPIRATION:

I’m Jayne Dearborn, CEO and Design Director at JayneMax, a handbag company with a

mission to make soulfully luxurious handbags that bring women joy by making them feel

empowered and beautiful.

JayneMax handbags grew out of a personal tragedy in my life. Twelve years ago our middle

son, Max, died of leukemia at age 7. I survived every parent's worst nightmare and

channeled my grief into this creative journey. In the beginning, I personally created all of my

bags, from design to finished product, in Max’s bedroom. This was my therapy to create

something beautiful when my heart was overwhelmed with sadness.

I began designing handbags as a healing process. Today, 7 years later, JayneMax has

evolved into designer leather handbags that are available in over 100 boutiques across the

country, and we continue to focus on larger retail stores. We’ve done our due diligence, and

after an exhaustive search around the world, we have carefully selected the best

manufacturer that delivers a top -of-the-line product. I hand-select each piece of hardware

and leather which we import from Brazil and Italy.

Now, we’re ready to present our Fall 2013 collection...our best line yet. But in order to take

this business to the next level, we need your help! We are asking for $50,000 to produce our

Fall 13 line which includes costs of materials, production and shipping. $75,000 would enable

us to produce the Fall 2013 line AND implement key marketing campaigns to ensure that

JayneMax achieves greater brand recognition.
