Mega Project - Case Study
• In 1998, TMP/Hudson won two bids for the contract labour supply of personnel to build a Methanol Plant on Bioko Island, Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.
• The client was AMPCO. Main contractor was Washington Group (Raytheon Engineers) of Houston, Texas under local company EOII.
• The total project value was $350 million and theconstruction program was for 20 months starting March 1999.
• Supplied over 1,100 Filipino craft and engineering personnel. Contract value $30 million – duration 32 months.
• Supplied over 50 Western engineering, management and supervisory staff. Contract value $2.5 million - duration 34 months.
