Tie Winner Will Be iwarded a Set

A VOTING contest was begun August 29 for fourmonths to determine by popular vote the most

popular lady in Christian County To the lady receiving 1

the highest number of votes we will present an elegantset of bedroom furniture now on exhibition at Pyle

Ganett It of quartered oak of the finest make and lateststyle and is worth 110 The contest will close at 12 oclocknoon Monday December 29 1902 The plan will be as follows

Every subscriber to the Kentuckian who pays back dues 01

cash in advance will be entitled to cast one vote for each five

cents paid That is to say a subscriber who pays 200 will

have 40 votes one who pays 100 will have 20 votes and so on

for any amount large or small In every paper published therewill be a coupon and these coupons when cut out and brought orsent to the office will represent each one vote A subscriberwill also have the privilege of gathering up coupons clipped by

friends from their papers and voting them one at a time or by

the hundred if preferred One will also have the privilege of 4

buying papers at the office at five cents each and voting thjf

coupons cut from themThe coupon ballots will be deposited in a ballot box with

two keys One of these keys will be held by County Judge W TtFowler and the other by Mayor Jouett Henry The box will be

opened not oftener than once a week all ballots then in it takenout counted and certified to sealed up in an envelope andreplaced in the ballot box The envelope will contain a state-

ment

of the votes in it so that its contents will not need to be

counted again until the official count at the close of the contestThe last week of the contest the ballots may be deposited

without showing them so that the close of the contest may be
