STEPS

o Beginbyselectingthefirstcellinwhichyouwantthe“Sumif”formulatoappear.

o Clickthefunctionsymbol

o Typein“sumif”inthesearchboxandclick“Go”.“Sumif”willappearintheresults

below.Clickon“sumif”andclick“ok”

o Beginenteringtheparametersbyclickinginthetextboxlocatedtotherightofeachparameter:

§ Range–istherangeofcellsyouwantevaluated.Inourcaseyouwillwanttoclickonthe“data”tabandhighlightcolumnG,the“Resource”column.

§ Criteria–istheconditionorcriteriaintheformofanumber,expression,ortext

thatdefineswhichcellswillbeadded.InourexamplewewantittolookforthespecificresourcenumberofeachrowtotheleftlocatedincolumnA.ClickoncellA2.

§ SumRange–therangeofcellstosum.Ifomitted,thecellsinrangeareused.In

ourexamplewewilluseColumnE(Amount),onthe“data”tab.

§ Click“Ok”onceallparametersareentered.

o Youwillnoticethattheamountdisplayednowequalsonlythoseamountsshowingforresource0000070.Ifyouwantthisformulatodisplaydowntheremainderofthepagesimplyhoveryourmouseovertheformulacelluntilyouseetheboldedcross.Oncethisappearsdoubleclick.
