Evaluation of my mobile phone interview.
Evaluation of my mobile phone interview.
Strength's
The framing of the interview that we did followed the codes and conventions of what a TV documentary should have. This included having the interviewee just of centre and by using the rule of thirds.
Another strength was that the interview content was all relevant to the cutaways that were used in the footage.
The font that was used in title sequence was relevant and looked good and had a relevant title to the actual content
Weaknesses
The mise-en-scene of the interview could be better because it could have been more relevant to what the topic of the interview was about rather than just plain white.
We could have had better lighting and more props within the interview to make it more realistic. We should have not let the interviewee have a phone in her hands because she kept looking down in the interview at her hands which meant that she kept getting distracted
We could have used more of a variety of cutaways rather than just using ones that overlap and could have made them better by cutting any bits of them out that didnt need to be there.
Weaknesses cont
Some of the shots were slightly wobbly because we used hand held camera work which was bad because it meant that it didnt look bad and meant that the shot was steady.
The music was rather loud which meant that it counter acted what was being said by the interviewee and had words in it which meant that there was a contest to be heard between the two people.
There was also a jump cut left in the shot which meant that it looks bad and just goes straight to the next question which makes it obvious to the audience that we have edited the questions were edited out
