INTRODUCTON The use of computer in education field create a new

environment and provides the tools that has the ability to change some of current educational methods. As the use of computer increases day by day,teachers must also start the use of computers in their classrooms. New technologies already exist to help teachers. Beginning in 1982, the Turkish Government introduced a series of funding initiatives to promote the use of information technology in schools. Computers has become an essential component of a education and will likely be more so in the future. It is very important to know the teachers observation about the computer’s based education and determine the amount of teachers that are aware with computer.

METHODOLOGY

For this purpose Government take a decision that they run a campaign that briefly explain the awareness of computer in teachers. Government selects a team that visit 25 schools of basic education. They fill up questioners from 252 teachers that are selected from schools of different urban areas.

SURVEY INSTRUMENT

The survey instrument was questioner’s that was developed by the team of researcher. These questioner’s were divided into 400 teachers and only 252 teachers respond that was 63% that was not good but acceptable. The questionnaire was consisting of three parts. 1st part contains 17 questions which are related to the availability of computer in their schools and their usage.2nd part contains the things that in which teachers were asked that what things are used in schools for computer learning. In 3rd part of survey some hardware and software are presented in front of teachers and asked them of what things they are familiar and of what things they are not. Responses were collected and then compared to know the true results that are beneficial to take some steps.

RESULTS

Results were prepared that shows that 57% of respondants are mail and 43% are female.The highest % of respondants were teachers and remainings are the persons belongs to the social science,fine arts, maths science atc.

82% of the teachers admitted that thay have computers in their schools but 58% states that these computers are not sufficient.39% teachers are computers users and 60% are not.10% teachers found themselves regular computers ueres while 90% are not.Only 25% teachers agreed that they have internet in their schools and they have the knowledge of internet.

Respondants received a list of hardware and software components and asked them to select some components about their choices and explain that can these components are helpful inbasic learening and advance learning of computer in 21st centuery.182 teachers partiocipate in this part and 70 have nothing to say.So the .

PROBLEMS

Participants persons reported number of tech problems that they were facng in thir schools.The most basic prob is that the lack of hardware components.2nd mian problem that they face was time sheduling and class size.By the teachers point of view large class size ois also a major problem because it was very dificult for teacher for hande such a large number of class.Teachers also reported that lack of comuter treaining is also a major problem that basic education schools face.They also have the financial problems because the ministry cannt provide them enough money so that they settle their problems.

Recommendations

This study is based on the survey of school teachers that describes that how they the future technologies and how they use the computers in their schools. It is clear from the result that only few teachers have the knowledge of computer. Out of 252 just 5.6% indicates that they uses computers and have knowledge of internet and read internet magazines. Projectors, printers and things like that were considered as essential parts for teaching. There is a lack of skills in teachers so that ministry should have to take some steps for spreading the computers skill and knowledge.
