DIALOGUE

Teacher reads the dialogue first, and then each pupil takes turn repeating the dialogue.

Ahmad

: Hi Raju! Hi Siew Ling

Raju

: Hi Ahmad!

Siew Ling: : Hi Ahmad!

Ahmad

: I need to earn extra cash.

Siew Ling: Me too, I have a lot of bills.

Raju

: Look at this ad! It can help us.

Ahmad

: Does the ad have an address?

Raju

: Yes, it does.

Siew Ling: Does it have a contact?

Raju

: Yes it does

ORAL PRACTICE

The children will act out the dialogue with a partner. Each pupil will have turn at each role. The pupils will use pictures and quiz each other on their knowledge.

GENERALIZATIONS

Subjects must agree with the verb.

A contraction is formed by omitting one or more letters from a word and replacing the omitted letter(s) with an apostrophe.

An interrogatory sentence with correct inflection.

Correct word order for interrogative sentences.

Imperative sentences omit the subjective pronoun.
