Attention: Staff Recruiting / Human Resources Department
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I am very interested to learn how I can
best serve your organization, and where I can put my varied skill set to use.
For the past nine years, I have worked as an elementary school teacher in different
capacities. Most recently, I was the Literacy and Numeracy Lead Teacher, where I was able
to work with adult learners to help plan and implement engaging and meaningful lessons to
elementary school students. My diverse teaching experience has served me well when
needing to handle challenging situations and difficult conversations with fellow employees.
My aptitude for listening to others, problem solving and interacting with others with sensitivity
makes me a confident and approachable member to any team I am a part of.
As my resume will detail, I have collaborated on projects at various levels. While I do enjoy
heading up projects, I am also happy to learn from others in order to build my capacity. I am
comfortable working independently, but believe that being a part of a team when working
on tasks is equally important. I can delegate tasks to ensure deadlines are met, and just as
easily follow instructions to ensure a task is completed with accuracy.
I look forward to speaking with you at your convenience, and hope to learn how my
experiences may be of value to your organization. I can be reached at 416-908-8263.
Sincerely yours,
Jacqueline Canton
