Induction set
( 5 minutes)
1. Teacher shows the advertisement of Philip bulb.
2. Teacher asks questions based on advertisement.

( 15 minutes)
1. Teacher ask each group to carry out a simple
experiment/ simulation on expansion and contraction
of matter using the experiment card given.
2. Cover the mouth of the bottle with the balloon. Thenprepared 2 set and place the bottle at 2 different
places.
3. Place balloon A in the Science room and balloon B
under the Sun.
4. Ask pupils to draw their prediction on the size of the
balloon.
5. Record and compare their observation after 20
minutes.

Aim : To investigate the relationship between the presence
of heat with the expansion/contraction of matter.
Resources and Materials : 2 balloons, 2 bottles
Procedures:
1. Put a balloon at the mouth of a bottle. Then prepared 2set and place the bottle at 2 different place.
(Balloon A In the Science room and Balloon B underthe Sun.)
2. Ask pupils to draw their prediction on the size of theballoon
3. Record and compare their observation after 20 minutes.
