Principal’s Report:
Enrolments/Leaving for 2015? We are already starting to prepare classes and staffing for next year. 2 demountable classrooms will be arriv-ing before the end of the year and perhaps a 3rd one if enrolments keep increasing. Currently we have 96 Kin-dergarten children enrolled for 2015. Please notify the office via email if you are intending to leave the school in 2015. Building Plan Last Friday we had a visit from the Met North Aborigi-nal Education Consultative Group to gain input on the plans being drawn up for the new school. They were very impressed with the design and the utilisation of the bushland space. It was a tremendous experience
for the architects and the planning committee to hear ideas from our local aboriginal community. They will be continually consulted in the development of the plan for our new school.
School Plan 2015-2018 As a school we are currently writing our future direc-tions and goals for the next 3 years. Even though there will be a lot of changes physically to the school over the next few years it is also important that we focus on the future of education and provide a school that accommodates the change in learning of our cur-rent and future students. I have attached a link to a survey that allows you to comment on the directions of the school for the next few years. Please feel free to add your comments and recommendations for our school using the link below. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8F773MS
PSSA Grand Final Tomorrow our junior boys and senior girls eagle tag teams will be playing in the grand final at Millers Re-serve at 12.30pm. We wish them the best of luck and wel-come any supporters to help cheer them on! A special thank you to all our PSSA coaches Mrs Cash, Mr Dylan, Mrs Ash-ton, Mrs Learmont and Mrs Ward for their commitment to the teams.
Sick Bay Overload We have had a lot of children unwell at school over the past couple of weeks, some of who have come to school sick. The best place for children when they are not well is at home and in bed. Please keep your children home if they are not well.

Mad Hatter’s Spring Fair Sunday 9 November - 11.00am-4.00pm
This Sunday we will be hosting our major com-munity event. The fair is due to begin at 11.00am and conclude at approximately 4.00pm. It will be a day of fun for families and friends with rides, silent disco and performances from our school musicians and a band of our Manly Vale parents. They’ll be food and a free art space for children to enjoy! Please feel free to order armbands for rides and the silent disco online at www.flexischools.com.au. Parking on the day Due to lack of parking around the school and that the car park will be closed on the day (due to ac-cessibility for rides and equipment) we strongly recommend that you walk to the fair where possi-ble. There is also a Dragon Boat carnival on at Manly Dam on Sunday which will also create a lot of traffic congestion.

Just bring them to the front office to put in the ‘tombola’ box with your child/s name & class attached. Thanks so much to the many gener-ous families who have donated so far.
Here’s how to make a Tombola: fill a see-through con-tainer of any size (e.g. glass jar, plastic cup) with a mixture of lollies and child-friendly knick knacks (e.g., balloons, erasers, pens & pencils, bubble mix, little notepads, stick-ers, elastics, hair clips, wrapped sweets, small bouncy balls, party favours). Attach a lid (material, cling wrap, con-tact, brown paper, wrapping paper & rubber bands/ribbon) and you’re done!
