Introducing the Board of DirectorsAfter vetting and interviewing multiple candidates, seven finalists were approved by the city councilin April. We are thrilled to welcome the inaugural EDDA board of directors.
Blake Calvert, Core Consultants
Blake Calvert is president and CEO of a professionalservices firm serving land development, energy andpublic development sectors from an office on SouthBroadway. The firm employs 71 people and has been inoperation since 2014.
Amy Gallegos, Eye Logic
A doctor of optometry, Amy Gallegos owns an eye careclinic and optical that employs five people. Eye Logicopened in 2015 and serves patients of all ages andsocioeconomic backgrounds. Her daily interactions withEnglewood residents and workers afford her insightsinto a variety of community perspectives.

As the Englewood DowntownDevelopment Authority’s interimexecutive director, Hilarie Portell willwork closely with the EDDA board andCity of Englewood to implement theauthority’s initiatives in accordance withthe Englewood Downtown DevelopmentPlan. She was a member of theDowntown Matters consultant team andis managing start-up operations andfunding for the EDDA.
