3.3.23* Sprinkler System
An integrated network of piping designed inaccordance with fire protection engineeringstandards that includes a water supply source,
a water control valve, a water flow alarm, anda drain. The portion of the sprinkler systemabove ground is a network of specifically sizedor hydraulically designed piping installed in abuilding, structure, or area, generallyoverhead, and to which sprinklers areattached in a systematic pattern. The systemis commonly activated by heat from a fire anddischarges water over the fire area.
