As Chris recalls “I remember seeingCamposol for the first time in February 1996.Camposol was literally a field, without anyroads or properties and I marvelled at theforesight and courage of Grupo Masa to startsuch a large scale development. CORVERA AIRPORT » UPDATE «
The Spanish press have reported that
the necessary paperwork should be
completed so that the new airport at
Corvera can open in time for the 2014
holiday season. Corvera Airport will
take over from San Javier (Murcia)
and with air travel volume at Alicante
back to 2007 levels, this bodes well
for the region.
Tourism figures for our region also
make great reading. Murcia
welcomed 342,054 visitors in the
first seven months of 2013. That is
an increase of 8.1% or 25,589 more
visitors than last year, with the
majority coming from the UK and
France. ■
