AirPlay upgrade applies to the following models:

1. SR7005 AV Receiver 2. AV7005 AV Pre-Amplifier 3. CR603 Stereo Mini Component 4. NA7004 Network Audio Player Purchase price of the AirPlay upgrade is $60.00 AUD. A separate upgrade must be purchased for each Marantz component owned. Only units purchased in Australia from authorized Marantz dealers can be upgraded.

1. Check all Firmware:

Check firmware versions on all devices and upgrade them if needed. New firmware will almost certainly be required. iPod Touch / iPhone / iPad: iOS 4.2.1 or later iTunes: Version 10 or later Marantz component: Firmware issued after 15 / 12 / 2010. (For reliability, use cable connection to internet for any firmware upgrades to Marantz components.) NA7004 / CR603: Menu > Other > Firmware Update

2. Gather information:

Checklist of information required to purchase AirPlay: 1. Model Number (E.g. SR7005, AV7005, CR603 or NA7004) 2. Colour of unit (Black or Silver/Gold) 3. Serial Number (located on the back of the unit or on the carton) 4. MAC Address (located on the back of the unit, or in the menu system) 5. Upgrade ID.

The 12 digit Upgrade ID will be displayed after firmware update is completed.

6. Preferred credit card details (Only VISA or MasterCard accepted — card number and expiry date) 7. Purchase receipt (with date of purchase, store name and store address clearly visible)

3. Fax or emailyour information to QualiFi:

Fax the completed form (page 2 of this PDF) to QualiFi with your purchase receipt. You will be notified by email as soon as your AirPlay registration has been successful. You will also re-ceive email PDF addendums for your Marantz component’s User Guide (Owner’s Manual), which will give you instructions for operating AirPlay.

4. Upgrade to AirPlay:

After receiving your email notification, go into your Marantz component and perform the up-grade to AirPlay. Detailed instructions are on following pages. NA7004 / CR603: Press ENTER/MEMO twice; Use the down arrow to select “Upgrade”; use the down arrow to select ‘Yes’ then press ENTER/MEMO. Upgrades may take 30 minutes or more to install.

Follow the next three steps to perform AirPlay upgrade.

STEP 1 : Updating the firmware to the latest version.

STEP 2 : Obtaining upgrade ID. (This ID is required when purchasing/registering the upgrade.)

STEP 3 : Performing registration and upgrade.

NOTEAn Internet connection is required for the AirPlay upgrade.

• When the unit is turned ON, it is automatically connected to the network. To ensure the successful upgrade, wait for 2 minutes or more before proceeding to Step 2.

• Do not turn the unit OFF or disconnect the power cord until the update is completed.• When the firmware update is completed, the light of the display is turned OFF and the unit restarts

automatically.

NOTE• If updating fails, the set automatically retries, but if updating is still not possible, one of the messages

shown below is displayed. If the display reads as shown below, check the settings and network environment, then update again.

• Even with a broadband connection to the Internet, approximately 20 minutes is required for the updating/upgrading procedure to be completed.

• Once updating/upgrade starts, normal operations on this unit cannot be performed until updating/upgrading is completed. Furthermore, updating/upgrading the firmware may reset the backup data for the parameters, etc. set for this unit.

• If the update or upgrade fails, remove and re-insert the power cord. “Update retry” appears on the display and update restarts from the point at which update failed. If the error continues despite this, check the network environment.

STEP 2 : Obtaining upgrade IDAn upgrade ID is required for the AirPlay upgrade. This ID is necessary when you purchase/register the upgrade.When the unit is turned ON after the firmware update and there is a more recent firmware available for “Firmware Update” and “Add New Feature”, a notification message is automatically displayed in the unit. However, you can also turn this function OFF in “Update Notification” and “Upgrade Notification”. If you turned the function OFF, proceed to STEP 2-1 .
