AgedCheeseCleaningRoomAttendant

SUMMARY:

TheCleaningRoomAttendantinagedcheeseisresponsibleforensuringpropercleaningandsanitationofallequipment,fromthesaltshakers,cheeseracks,uptothecabinetwasherandsanitizerwatertubs.Loading cabinetwasher,washingmachine, footbathmaintenance and chemical retrieval are a fewofthe day-to-day activities. This includes testing equipment to ensure they are properly cleaned andsanitized before storage. Jobmay include any step in the process ofmaking product, when needed,whilefollowingcompanysafetyandqualityprocedures.ThispositionreportstoAgedCheeseSupervisororTeamLeader.

Note: The job has specific start time. The end time is dependent on getting all aspects of the daycompleted.

§ Sets-upanddismantlesCIPmachines,cleansandsanitizespriortoandafterusing.§ Makessuremachineryrunsefficientlyanddetectsmalfunctionswhentheyoccur.§ Performsavisualandrecordsswabchecktoensureallequipmentiscleanandsanitizedproperlyto

VermontCreamery’sstandards.§ Doescleaning/sanitizingaccordingtoscheduleandnecessity.§ Completesallqualitypaperwork.§ Washescheesebags,andoperatescabinetwashertocleanandsanitizeotherequipment.§ Assistsproductioncrewwithworkloadwhenneeded.§ ProperlyfollowsVC’sstandardprotocolsandprocedures.§ Assemblespipes,connectsvats,pumps,andotherequipmentbasedonprocess.§ PerformsenvironmentalcleaningfollowingcompanyQualityPlan.§ FollowsallproceduresandGMPs,alongwithcompanySafetyandQualityprocedures.§ Helpsinotherdepartmentsasneeded.REQUIREDKNOWLEDGE,SKILLSANDABILITIES

§ Abletoperformbasicmathaddition,subtraction,multiplicationanddivision.§ Abletoeffectivelycommunicateandactivelylisten.

§ Mustbeflexiblewithworkscheduleandbeavailabletoworkuntilendofproductionrunandcleanup.

§ Mustbeabletoproducequalityworkattheswiftpaceofproduction.§ Excellentcommunicationskillsandtheability towork independentlyandmanagetimeandtasks

PHYSICALDEMANDS:

• Whileperformingthedutiesofthisjob,theemployeeisrequiredtostandforapproximatelya10-hourworkday.TheenvironmentiswetandhumidandemployeesarerequiredtowearappropriatePPE.Theemployeeisfrequentlyrequiredtoworkwithcleaningchemicalsandmayneedtostoop,kneel,crouch,orcrawl.Theemployeeoccasionallyliftsand/ormovesupto50lbs.
