Prevent cervical cancer and reduce child mortality in the Pacific
This visionary project celebrates Rotary’s centenary in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.
Working with UNICEF, we are introducing three new vaccines across nine countries. Saving lives for generations.

Three vaccines
To protect against
• Rotavirus: a common viral, severe and sometimes life-threatening diarrhoea
• Pneumococcal disease: a major cause of meningitis, pneumonia and life-threatening septicemia
• Human papillomavirus (HPV) the cause of cervical and other cancers

Cervical cancer: a scourge in the Pacific
• Incidence and mortality are far higher than in Australia and New Zealand
• Cervical screening is rare
• Treatment is often unavailable
