thestructuralinjusticesof

society.

Unfortunately,itfrequentlyhappensthatdifferentpeople

concentratealmostexclusivelyonone,oratmosttwo,ofthethree

aspectsofconversion.Manygoodpeoplewakeuptoadeepsenseof

Godsprovidenceandthis

leadsthemtoaprayerfulandenthusiastic

spirituality;buttheymay

remainquiteinsensitiveintheirhuman

relationsandmaylackall

senseofthepoliticaldimensionsofthe

Christianfaith.Otherpeoplebuildtheirspiritualityaroundopenness

toothers;buttheymaybelackingindepthbecausetheygivelittle

timetoprayerandreflection;andtheymayimaginethattheworld

canbechangedwithoutm

ajorstructuralchangesinsociety.Finally,

therearesomedeeplycommittedChristianswhoaresointenton

changingthesocial,econo

mic,andpoliticalorderthattheysacrifice

theirownpeaceofspiritandtheirhumanrelationshipsinafrenzy

ofquasi-politicalactivity.

Ourspiritualitymustberootednotinjustoneortwoaspects

ofconversionbutinallthreethereligious,themoralandthe

political.Itisadistortion

ofChristianfaithtoneglectanyofthem

ortofailtoworkforafullintegrationofthethree.

ThisiswhatYahwehasksofyou,onlythis:
