Leadership \ Management Second in Command of 1(UK) Armoured Division Signal Regiment Gym, responsible for

the organisation a delivery of Physical Training, Rehabilitation and Remedial training to an audience of over 500 serving personnel.

Responsible for all SHEF related matters, including, procurement of risk assessments for the buildings and physical training delivered, COSHH assessments, electrical safety, fire safety, inductions and monthly line manager inspections.

Managed 22 full and part-time staff; establishing daily, monthly and yearly objectives mentoring, developing personal skills and good practice. Monitoring and continuous reviewing has significantly improved quality and performance output.

Led and worked as part of a team of 6 labours on busy multi-million pound redevelopment site in Windermere; Forwarding and allocating jobs, working efficiently as a team where and when required, aiding the various tradesmen on site with the delivery and movement of materials to keep the construction works on schedule.

Carried out monthly, quarterly and yearly servicing inspections on all Communications equipment, identifying and repairing faulty equipment in-line with the inspection procedure.

Self-employed Plasterer, Tiller and manager of a successful tilling and plastering business; worked with numerous residential and contractual customers throughout the Northwest, employing additional staff as and when required, organised finances and budgets, tax-returns and produced a professional high standard of work consistently on time and to budget.

Deployed to Afghanistan as an Engineer on Herrick 20 to operate, develop and maintain Base Intelligence Surveillance Target Acquisition reconnaissance (B-ISTAR) in harsh hostile conditions, working independently and as a team of 7 personnel.

Inspected, reported and carried out any repairs necessary in a systematic approach to the B-STAR network in order to provide a continuous professional service to NATO working with over nations and peoples expertise.

Organisation

Responsible for the planning, delivery and conduct off matters relating to physical development, sport and adventure training within the Regiment and in the British Forces Germany Community.

Organisation and management of various charities, recreational and sporting events involving the regiment, local schools and the local community. This ranged from 5-15km fun-runs, hosting charity nights. Cross-county, boxing training camps and competitions, and helping out with beavers and scouts.

Developed and set-up a boxing club for people of all abilities to learn and train to box, evenings and weekends, it generated great interest and improved my skills as a coach and instructor.

Established a boxing team, entered and succeeded into the finals twice in the inter-unit army competition, organising flights, medicals, monitoring weights, consistently mentoring and developing there skills throughout in order for them to perform at there best.

Worked independently to maintain and correct faults on multi-million pound equipment, WAN\LAN Networks, high-level video feeds, IP Phones, Motorola PTP Radio Links and links to multi-national NATO Headquarters, UPS Systems, surveillance equipment, radars and power generators.

Responsible for daily maintenance, repair and technical assistance, and conduction of remote fault finding on a daily basis, server management, configuration of updates, re-conditioning of computer clients and servers, and liaising with 2nd and 3rd parties, (often multi-nations) for repair of equipment and upgrades to software,

Major achievement of the Herrick 15 was the reconfiguration of the entire NES(S) AO network, providing a mesh network with redundant links and numerous network reconfigurations.
