EXPERIENCE: Capital Tonight | NYStateofPolitics.com — Albany, NY Video Producer (July 2014 — Present) Video producer for the only daily, statewide political television show in New York State. Establish sources and relationships to cultivate information for planning and reporting. Research, report, and write for our companion blog, State of Politics - See Skills. Arrange, plan, and produce each day’s rundown, including interview segments and daily reports. Shoot and edit video for each night’s edition of Capital Tonight. Time Warner Cable News — Albany, NY [Capital Region and Hudson Valley] Producer (January 2014 — July 2014) Produced news content to run on the only 24-hour news channel in New York. Everyday duties included script-writing, producing story ideas, and organizing reporters. Duties also included producing in the control room and building each hour’s news wheel. New York StateWatch Legislative Correspondent; Intern (January 2012 — June 2012) Reported on specific legislation as it made its way through the New York State Legislature. This included attending committee meetings to track bills and also sitting in on the Assembly and Senate during session. Coverage occasionally included events about specific initiatives from lawmakers. SUNY Research Foundation Research Assistant (June 2012 — September 2012); Teaching/Research Assistant (September 2013 -- December 2013) 2012: Used research techniques to code the treatment of LGBT individuals by governments globally over fifty years.
