IMAX® FILMS – NOW SHOWING

THE TRANSPORTER REFUELED – THE IMAX ® EXPERIENCENow Showing through September 10, 2015 Frank Martin, a former special-ops mercenary (played by newcomer Ed Skrein,) is now living a less perilous life – or so he thinks – transporting classified packages for questionable people. When Frank's father (Ray Stevenson) pays him a visit in the south of France, their father-son bonding weekend soon takes a turn for the worse when Frank is engaged by a cunning femme-fatale, Anna (Loan Chabonal), and her three seductive sidekicks to orchestrate the bank heist of the century. Frank must use his covert expertise and knowledge of fast cars, fast driving and fast women to outrun a sinister Russian kingpin, and worse than that, he is thrust into a dangerous game of chess with a team of gorgeous women looking for revenge. From the producers of Lucy and the Taken trilogy, The Transporter Refueled is a fresh personification of the iconic role of Frank Martin that launches the high-octane franchise into the present day and introduces it to the next generation of thrill-seekers. This film is rated PG-13.

From the clear turquoise waters of the South Pacific to Africa, Hawaii and Alaska, this ocean adventure will reveal what we know about this giant mammal and what mysteries scientists are determined to solve.

Found in every ocean on earth, humpbacks were nearly driven to extinction 50 years ago, but today are making a steady recovery. Join a team of researchers as they unlock the secrets of the humpback and find out what makes humpbacks the most acrobatic of all whales, why only the males sing, and why these intelligent, fifty-foot animals migrate more than 6,000 miles round-trip every year.

HUBBLE 3D October 1, 2015 through November 30, 2015Through the power of IMAX® 3D, “Hubble 3D,” narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio, takes moviegoers on an unprecedented voyage through distant galaxies to explore the grandeur and mystery of our celestial surroundings. Experience never-before-seen 3D flights through the farthest reaches of the universe, and accompany spacewalking astronauts on some of the most difficult and important endeavors in NASA’s history.

In May 2009, the crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis launched a mission to make vital repairs and upgrades to the Hubble Space Telescope, the world’s first space-based observatory, 350 miles above the Earth. On board was an IMAX 3D camera, operated by the shuttle astronauts. It captured stunning sequences of the five intricate spacewalks required to make those repairs, as well as close-up images of the effort to grasp the orbiting telescope with the shuttle’s mechanical arm at 17,500 mph, and one unexpected problem that threatened to sabotage the entire mission.

“Hubble 3D” combines this breathtaking IMAX footage with images taken by the telescope during the nearly 20 years it has been our window into space. Through advanced computer visualization, Hubble’s detailed data becomes a series of scientifically realistic flights that unfold on screen like a guided tour of the universe, through time and space.

The seventh film from the award-winning IMAX Space Team, “Hubble 3D” offers an inspiring and unique look into the legacy of the Hubble Space Telescope and how it has changed our view of the universe and ourselves.

The documentary adventure “Hubble 3D” is an IMAX and Warner Bros. Pictures production, in cooperation with National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Narrated by three-time Academy Award® nominee Leonardo DiCaprio, “Hubble 3D” reunites the “Space Station 3D” filmmaking team led by producer and director Toni Myers. Director of photography James Neihouse also served as the astronaut crew trainer. Graeme Ferguson, IMAX co-founder and pioneer producer of many IMAX space films, is the executive producer, and Judy Carroll, the film’s associate producer. The music is composed by Micky Erbe and Maribeth Solomon.

Station 3D - the greatest engineering feat since landing a man on the Moon.

Space Station 3D is the story of this unique partnership of 16 nations building a laboratory in outer space -- a permanent facility for the study of the effects of long-duration exposure to zero gravity and the necessary first step towards the global co-operative effort needed if man is to someday set foot on Mars. It is a story of challenges, setbacks and triumphs and ultimately, the shared international victory of men and women whose dreams exceed the limits of life on this Earth.

Space Station 3D is the first cinematic journey to the International Space Station (ISS), where audiences can experience for themselves life in zero gravity aboard the new station.

Transported by the magic of the IMAX® 3D technology, the audience blasts off into space with the astronauts and cosmonauts from Florida's Kennedy Space Center and Russia's Baikonur Cosmodrome to rendezvous with their new home in orbit 220 miles above Earth.

Now people of every age and language can work side by side with their space-walking crewmates, building and inhabiting this unprecedented structure in space.

The Space Science Institute’s National Center for Interactive Learning, with funding from the National Science Foundation and NASA, has developed a national traveling exhibition program called Great Balls of Fire: Comets, Asteroids, and Meteors.

Great Balls of Fire explores the mysteries of these celestial objects. The threat of a catastrophic impact from an asteroid or comet is a staple of popular culture. If there was a dinosaur killer in Earth’s past, is there a human killer in our future? What are the chances and how do we assess the risks? For that matter, what are asteroids, comets, and meteorites, and where do they come from? These and many other questions are answered in Great Balls of Fire. Visitors are encouraged to upgrade to a combo ticket to view “Hubble 3D” and “Space Station 3D” at AutoNation ® IMAX 3D Theater in conjunction with this exhibit.

Climb into a “spaceship” and blast off to the asteroid belt and Jupiter on a mission to gather data about asteroids and comets.

Enjoy a display of art and artifacts that tell the story of comet observations throughout human history.

Learn the size of the average rock in a meteor shower event (it’s smaller than you think!). See what would happen if asteroids or comets of various sizes hit your hometown. Use a variety of tests (magnetism, color, density/relative weight) to determine if a rock is

a meteorite (or a meteor-wrong). Determine if clips from Hollywood films are Science Fact or Science Fiction. Build your own solar system, including asteroid belts and comets.

identify patterns, think ahead, use logical reasoning, and look at the problems from different perspectives, setting aside preconceived ideas. The videos in each of the four Clue Vaults explain neuroscience-based principles, and tell the story of several inventors who have used problem solving skills to come up with new solutions to old problems. Additionally, the popular group challenges require communication, collaboration, leadership, and teamwork skills – skills that are critical in solving the challenges facing today’s businesses and communities.
