Do Your Customers Really Appreciate Your Good Service?

I believe that good service is rewarded, period. You can’t help but do more business if youoffer top notch service. That’s why we are bringing you this article from one of our sister blogsbecause it never hurts to stress how effective good service really is.

Retailers – Wholesalers – Marketers, What Do Your CustomersThink Of Your Service?

I know that sometimes we all wonder if our customers appreciate our good service. We getdiscouraged when we think we are doing a great customer service job and it seems like no onereally appreciates it. As a wholesaler myself, I understand just how you feel.

You might be a retailer or a marketer and wonder the same way. And, it really does not make adifference if you do business online or offline, we all wonder if we are appreciated for ourservice.

Well, you won’t necessarily hear about it everyday from every customer, but you can believe that your customers, for the most part, really doappreciate your good service and it will pay off if you don’t let down.

Now, I will be the first to say that there are some customers that you can not please regardlessof how well you treat them. I run across this every day and it would take too long to explain indepth. So, I am going to touch only on the positive things that can happen.

Not long ago, we were servicing some of our store wholesale buying customers on aThursday-Friday overnight route and things were fairly normal, we missed a couple buyers and

some were holding down spending for one reason or another. But, there were two situationsthat stood out and they were worth the effort we put forth for the two days.

First, while we were servicing this particular store, one of the employees (Assistant Manager)came over and started to talk. She mentioned that they appreciated the fact that we pricedeverything and set it up ready to be sold. She stated that most of their vendors just dumpedeverything in the floor and left it to them to do the pricing, set up and display.

Now, it is great to hear someone tell you that they like what you do, but most actually do not sayit even if they think it. However, from experience, we know that we command a higher ticketaverage per store than most companies that do what we do and one of the reasons is the fullservice that we give to all our store wholesale buying customers. Besides, having control overhow things are displayed affords us the luxury of the retailer selling more of our product.

How Does That Good Service Translate Into More Sales?

In our case, offering a full range of service allows us to sell more product each time we go tothese retail stores since they sell more of our product. The side benefit of the good service isbeing able to market our line using the best ways we have found that work. Read on……

The second situation involved one of the owners of a store that we had been servicing for about6 months. She and her father owned the store and she wanted us to know that she felt that ourproducts did very well there and that she liked our service.

Then she went on to say that they were going to make more space for us so we could put inmore product. In addition to that, she stated that they were opening another store in a coupleweeks and wanted to know if we could do that store too. Not a problem!!
