Recognizing that the worlds of law and business have become increasingly inter-dependent, FEU and DLSPS have joined forces to offer a dual degree program in law and management. The DLSPS provides a management education that prepares gradu-ates for results-oriented decision-making. The FEU-IL provides students with the legal and analytical tools needed to understand how law affects business and management decisions.
The dual-degree program prepares students to approach problems from the perspectives of both a business executive and a lawyer. This program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in two interrelated disciplines and to understand the interrelationships between them.
When the two degrees are taken concur-rently, the total amount of time required to complete the two degrees is shorter than if they were taken independently. This is because pre-approved courses are transferable between the two degrees. DLSPS shall credit up to 12 units of pre-selected JD courses as electives towards the completion of an MBA degree, while FEU-IL shall credit up to 12 units of core MBA courses for the completion of the JD degree. Thus, students can complete both degrees in five years rather than six years, when taken independently. For the transfer credits to be valid, the requirements for both degrees must be completed.
