ION PUMPING CORDS

BASIC PHILOSOPHY AND USAGE

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

GENERAL ANALYSIS• Black pulls energy out (sedates) • Red puts energy back in (tonifies) • A tool to transfer energy from one

channel to the next • Diode: Keeps energy flowing one

direction • Clips must be hooked to metal

*Great for really difficult patients

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

*RESULTS ARE AMAZING

ACUGRAPH: DIVERGENT TREATMENT

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

STEP 1: Graph the Patient

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

• Click on the Divergent Channel

• Add Points into the current treatment plan

STEP 2: Choose a Treatment Plan

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Recognize Three Sets of PointsSTEP 3:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Which Points? • There will always be 4 here • The first two go together • The next two go together • They will show up on the left or

right—based on graph analysis

*You need to know which ones go together and what clip to use.

DIVERGENT:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Which Clips? • First Cord: Red on LEFT PC 3

goes with black on LEFT GB 12 • Second Cord: Red on LEFT HT

3 with Black on Left BL 2

*You need to know which ones go together and what clip to use.

DIVERGENT:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Special Considerations • Sometimes ST 1 or BL 1 is

suggested. • Do not needle either of these. • Jake gives alternative

suggestions… BL 2 instead of BL 1, ST 2 instead of ST 2

*You need to know which ones go together and what clip to use.

DIVERGENT:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Which Points? • There are usually 4 here • *Sometimes only 3 • Remember the eight you

learned in college? • Well, there are 4 more points…

EXTRAORDINARY:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Which Clips? • Third Cord: Black on RIGHT TE

5 and Red on LEFT GB 41 • Fourth Cord: Black on RIGHT

LI 5 and Red on RIGHT ST 40

EXTRAORDINARY:

ONE MORE THING…just so you won’t be confused

later when it shows up.

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Sometimes There are Only 3… • You would still use two cords in

this section • Red on LEFT LU 7 and Black on

RIGHT SP 4 • RED on LEFT PC 6 and Black on

RIGHT SP 4

EXTRAORDINARY:

*YES: SP 4 has TWO clips on it.

WHAT I LEARNED FROM NOGIER

Three quotes I want you to

REMEMBER

“If you do not know there are TWO kinds of points, you will miss the problem.”

-Ralph Nogier

QUOTE #1:

“First start with the electrical stimulation, then the reflex point.”

-Ralph Nogier

QUOTE #2:

“I was doing it ALL wrong.” -Kimberly Thomspon

QUOTE #3:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

1. Open Auriculo 3D 2. Scan for active points 3. Treat active points 4. Put ear seeds on the points I treated 5. Have patient press points at home

BEFORE THE SEMINAR:

AFTER THE SEMINAR:

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

Root Treatment and Branch Treatment: • A two step process • Put the body into balance FIRST • Then treat the pain

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

• Not the same as painful points • Electrically detectable • You will find VAS with these • Tells you the dysfunction in the organ system

• Always do these before pain points • Do these if there is NO pain • Have an effect on immunity (delayed 2-3 days) • Depression, anxiety, constipation

NEUROVASCULAR POINTS (AKA SKIN RESISTANCE POINTS)ROOT TREATMENT

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

• If you can’t find any electrically active points…

• Treat Point Zero FIRST • Then treat Shen Men • Then scan again • Points will magically appear

NO ACTIVE POINTS?

BRANCH TREATMENT

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

• You cannot find these with VAS • Use Stimplus Pro (or pressure probe)

to find painful points • Treat the painful points • Use seeds, or pellets to prolong the

treatment

REFLEX POINTS: AKA PAINFUL POINTS

ACUPUNCTURE TECHNOLOGY SYMPOSIUM

• Auriculotherapy REALLY works • The more you know the BETTER it works • Root/Branch on the ear helps patients get better FASTER • I’ll be going back next year, because I’M NOT DONE

Google Review Email Text Hello {name},

I'm really glad you are having great results with acupuncture.

Do you think you could take a moment and do me a quick favor?

When people search for me on Google, they like to read the reviews to see if I'm the right fit for them. If you wouldn't mind jumping over there and writing a quick review regarding your acupuncture experience, I would appreciate it.

Here is the link: Meridian Family Acupuncture

Look to the right of the screen and you should see a picture of me and my clinic. From there just click on the box that says "Write a Review."

Thanks so much. I appreciate working with you as a patient and your trust in me.

Have a GREAT day!

Thank you, {my name}

3

NOTE for Practitioner: Google obviously has to know who you are before you can do this. Make sure you have established yourself with google first.

When you are creating the link to put in the email, go to a google page, type in the name of your clinic, and the google information should show up on the side. This is the link you want to share. NOT your web page. Just the link that gets you to the search for your web page.

Extraordinary Treatment with Ion Pumping Cords

General analysis of Ion Pumping Cords: The black end pulls energy out (sedates). The red end puts energy back in (tonifies). Based on graph analysis, you are using the ion pumping cords as a tool to transfer energy from one channel to the next. The diode in the center of the wire keeps energy flowing in one direction. This treatment is amazing at balancing the graph, especially for extremely difficult patients.

There are three portions of the treatment to consider. Extraordinary points, divergent points, and back shu points. This explanation will focus on Extraordinary and Divergent points.

Step 1: Graph the Patient

Step 2: Click on Divergent Treatment then add points into the current treatment plan.

5

Step 3: Recognize there are three sets of points listed.

The Bottom BL Points: These are for the back of the body. For this demonstration, go ahead and delete those on each “red x” to the right of them.

The Middle Set of Points: These are the divergent channel points. There will always be 4 points here. The first two in the set go together and the next two in the set go together. These points may show up on the left or the right, based on graph analysis. The important things for you to remember are which ones go together and what color to clip on the needle.

Example as Listed Above: • PC 3 left goes with GB 12 left. Use one cord to connect these points. (Put the red clip on PC 3. Notice

that it is written in red). Put the black clip on GB 12 left.) • HT 3 goes with BL 2. Use one cord to connect these points. (Put the red clip on HT 3 left and the

black clip on BL 2 left.)

NOTE:• Sometimes ST 1 or BL 1 is suggested. Do not needle either of these points. Jake Fratkin teaches

to move to the next point on the channel. So, if AcuGraph says to needle BL 1, go ahead and do BL 2 instead. If AcuGraph says to needle ST 1, go ahead and needle ST 2 instead.

The Top Set of Points: These points are the Extraordinary points. I taught in the webinar that there are more extraordinary points than the basic 8 extras you learned about in college. In this top section you will see any combination of the expanded list of 12 extraordinary points.

6

Typically 4 Extraordinary points will show up for each treatment. The first two in the set go together and the next two in the set go together. (But sometimes only 3 points will show up in this section. I’ll explain why in the note below.) These points may show up on the left or the right, based on graph analysis. The important things for you to remember are which ones go together and what color to clip on the needle.

Example as Listed Above: • TE 5 right goes with GB 41 left. Use one cord to connect these points. (Put the red clip on GB 41 left.

Notice that it is written in red. Put the black clip on TE 5 right.) • LI 5 right goes with ST 40 right. Use one cord to connect these points. (Put the red clip on ST 40 right

and the black clip on LI 5 right.)

NOTE: • Sometimes you will only see three points listed in the Extraordinary Channel section.

7

Example: If only three points are listed in the extraordinary… • You will still use two cords for this section. • Put the red end of one cord on LU 7 left. Put the black end on Spleen 4 right. • Put the red end of the second wire on PC 6 left. Put the black end on Spleen 4 right. • Yes—SP 4 on the right will have TWO clips on it. The reasoning for this is that Spleen 4 has so much

extra energy, it can share with both LU 7 and PC 6.
