We began this process with a commitment to become the vastly preferred manufacturer in our industry. Code Electric has been installing Square D for several years. While we were working on a job, the Square D folks asked if they could send out some of their design engineers to witness a transformer install. They said that because of the new transformer efficiency regulations, Square D was going to redesign their LV transformers. As we did the install, they took notes and asked for our feedback on what other changes could be made to the overall design to simplify the installation.

To me, that was proof that Square D was committed to making the best products for their customers.

No. We will only send useful information and updates to users.

What is QuoteFast? – A new digital tool that meets contractor’s and distributor‘s needs to increase the speed and accuracy of quote process.

Will QuoteFast work on multiple browsers?

Yes. QuoteFast has been tested on all popular web browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Google Chrome.

How will electrical contractors get quotes using QuoteFast?

QuoteFast gives contractors: – Faster response – Contractors will receive the quote from their distributor and also have

the ability to develop a bill of material on their own and obtain market pricing in a seamless digital, web environment.

– Increased accuracy – One point of data entry eliminates the need for more than one take-off on a project and reduces unnecessary redundancy.

What product configuration capabilities are available on QuoteFast?

QuoteFast has several product selectors ranging from simple to complex allowing users to configure and design products, utilize device placement, and download drawings for their configured products.

Can approval drawings or operations and maintenance documents be accessed in QuoteFast?

Referenced drawings can be obtained. Note that these drawings will be marked “not for construction.” Soon through the order drawing quality initiative, you will be able to use approval drawings. Operations and maintenance documents will be available through future QuoteFast releases.

Will contractors get pricing directly from Schneider Electric?

No. Distributors will provide all pricing.

Does QuoteFast have order management capabilities?

No. Distributors will upload their QuoteFast BOM to EQM and complete the order.

Does QuoteFast link with EQM or My Schneider Electric?

Yes. The BOM is easily uploaded to EQM for completion and some information is pulled from My Schneider Electric.

Is QuoteFast replacing EQM? No. QuoteFast is designed to work with EQM to meet contractor and distributor needs to increase the velocity of the quote process and access to information in a faster, digital way.

Can I perform change order requests through QuoteFast?

No. The change order process will continue to work as it does today.

Can I add non-Schneider Electric parts to my quote/proposal?

Yes. Items like wires and conduit can be added to the BOM.

How will a contractor transmit their BOM to the distributor?

Selecting the ‘Share Your Project’ option will allow the contractor to choose their local distributor of choice. The distributor will receive an email notification when the project is shared.

Can contractors select any distributor to send a quote to?

Contractors can share the BOM with any of their authorized distributor locations that have a QuoteFast account. However, once the BOM is shared with a distributor, the same BOM cannot be sent to other distributor. The same rules apply for distributors sharing to contractors.

Does QuoteFast have document storage capabilities so I can re-use previous quotes?

Yes. QuoteFast saves all the BOMs. It allows users to create templates of the most common items or project types. It also has the ability to quickly and easily copy/paste products from other BOMs.

Does PROficient have the capability to address product/application and technical questions?

PROficient includes ExpertAccess to contact Schneider Electric experts directly via live chat and phone.

Can distributors see all the contractors who register with QuoteFast? Will this be a problem of privacy?

Distributors will only see the customer location and contact name that are within their authorized Schneider Electric sales territory when they share a BOM. Contractors can only see the distributor branch office and contact name for their assigned territory.

Can contractors, OEMs and distributors not participating in the pilot use QuoteFast?

No. However, PROficient is expected to roll out nationwide at the end of 2015.

How do distributors get added to QuoteFast?

If a distributor would like to be set up in QuoteFast, contact your Schneider Electric Sales Rep to see if your branch office has been configured. Once configured, anyone at the same location can register at quotefast.schneider-electric.com.

How can I get training on QuoteFast?

Training can be found within the QuoteFast tool by clicking on the Help button. Tutorials, videos and written documentation will be available for online learning. You can also contact Schneider Electric Sales Rep for additional questions and training.

What are some of the future updates and enhancements to QuoteFast?

All updates and enhancements will be added based on feedback from contractors and distributors.

What is OrderTrack? Track the BOM once the order is placed. The distributor has to provide the Q2C number on an order by order basis to allow tracking visibility to the contractor.

What is PrductFind? Contractors are able to find a local supplier when changes occur and for last minute purchases.

What is ExpertAccess? When you need help from Schneider Electric experts, it’s available in chat, voice, email and mobile app. Contractors can address on the job issues with confidence using the information and guidance of live support.

How will distributor pay for PROficient launch events?

Schneider Electric will bring all PROficient materials. Distributors may share the cost of food/refreshment and other activities, depending on who is hosting the event.
