Distance Learning plans.▰ September 12, 2019 - Meeting with Principals to discuss Distance Learning.▰ September 17, 2019 - BoE presentation on eLearning & Distance Learning.▰ September 18, 2019 - Post a notice of public hearing and publish the notice in the
newspaper. Meeting with PTO Presidents. ELearning notice sent to staff.▰ October 1, 2019 - Barrington 220 BoE has a hearing to consider adopting the
eLearning Verification Form.▰ October 15, 2019 - Barrington 220 BoE considers the adoption of the resolution
to utilize eLearning as part of its Distance Learning Plan for emergency days for the 2019-2020 school year.
▰ November 1, 2019-eLearning plan approved by Lake County ROE

What is eLearning?
ELearning days are district-wide days that permit student instruction to be received electronically while students
are not physically present (for use in lieu of the district's scheduled emergency days).
B220 Distance Learning Plan
Includes eLearning, and flexible opportunities to meet the needs of all students
● Allows for a predictable end of the school year
● Promotes learning within the current unit(s) of study
● It supports educators with families while maintaining the long-term fidelity of course/class scope and sequence
● Promotes flexible learning and modeling in the digital age
● Connections to SEL Outcomes of Self-Management and Responsible Decision Making

▰ The IEP team will assess whether and what level of Distance Learning (DL) supports are provided.
▰ Like Core, lessons shall be pushed out via See-Saw, Schoology, and email notifications to parents and students (when appropriate).
▰ More intensive supports available as determined by the IEP teams
Fall Supports▰ Development of sample lessons for elementary,
middle, and high school staff ▰ Grade and course teams should develop
examples of timely lessons that they can use on an emergency day
