READING
In reading today we would like you to go for a walk, this can be to
anywhere! You could walk to the park, to the kitchen or to the shop. On
your way we would like you to think about the book Rosie's walk.
After your walk, we would like you to draw a few pictures (between 3
and 5) to show your journey. Keep these pictures safe because we will
write the sentences for these tomorrow.
Have a look at the pictures I would draw to show my journey from
Gruffalo class to the playground on the next slides.

WRITING
Today in writing we would like you to think about lockdown. What have you enjoyed about
it? What have you not enjoyed? Create a mind map of all the fantastic things that you have
learnt or done in the lockdown this year.
Anything that has made you smile over the last few months, have you enjoyed spending time
with your family more? Doing the distance learning? Sleeping in as late as you wanted?

MathsToday we are going to be looking at coins again, not only will we be identifying them, we will also be looking at the amount that they make and then matching them.
Let’s recap yesterdays learning and see if you can complete the table below. The first one has been
done for you. Try and think about…
• Do you recognise these coins?
• Which ones are pound and which ones are pence?
• What symbols would we use for them?
What does value
mean? It means how much
the something is
worth in numbers.
MathsHave a look and see if you got them correct, if you did not, do not worry, just keep practising you guys!
If you need more practice, click the link below to play the coin recognition game. There are 4 challenges at
the beginner level and advance is a little trickier!

MathsLook at each square and see if you can work out the total of each box. Once you have done that,
decide what ones have equal value. That is another way of saying the same amount. Use the sentence
stem:
Letter ___ and letter ____ both have equal value.
MathsAnswers
Check independently to see if you got the amount correct for each box, and then to see f you matched the equal values correctly.
Letter A and letter D both have equal value.Letter B and letter C both have equal value.

MathsNow try again. Look at each square and see if you can work out the total of each box. Once you have
done that, decide what ones have equal value. Remember, that is another way of saying the same
amount. Use the sentence stem:
Letter ___ and letter ____ both have equal value.

Today we are going to be looking for
phase 5 tricky words. Once you have
found the words in the word search, try
and write each word in a sentence. So
you will have 5 sentences.
Can you use every word?
If you want to print this word search, it is
on the next slide at a larger size.
