Four-year college varsity teams compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), while community college teams belong to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA).

All CUNY colleges are members of CUNYAC, The City University of New York Athletic Conference. Citywide CUNYAC championship tournaments in all sports are hotly contested and followed closely by CUNY students and the New York City press. Sophie Davis was founded to recruit underrepresented minorities into medicine, increase medical services in historically under-served areas, and increase the availability of primary care physicians and dentists in New York State. The program offers three unique and challenging programs leading to careers in medicine:

• BS-MD Program: This innovative five-year program integrates undergraduate education with the first two years of medical school.

• BS-DDS Program: The dental program is designed, similar to the BS-MD program, as a seven-year integrated curriculum leading to the Bachelor of Science (BS) and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degrees.

• Physician Assistant (PA) Program: This 28-month upper division program leads to a BS degree and certification as a Physician Assistant.

Save More By Borrowing Less A main mission of CUNY is to make a great education accessible and affordable. When you look at the quality and cost of a CUNY education, you will see right away that it is a tremendous value. A CUNY education not only costs a fraction of what students pay at private institutions, but beats most public universities, from New York to California. CUNY students who borrow, on average, owe less after graduation than their peers at public and private colleges and universities.

If you think you will need assistance to pay for educational expenses, we recommend that you apply for financial aid. There is a wide array of financial aid options and programs, including scholarships, grants and loans that can help you pay for college.

For more information on financial aid eligibility and how to apply, visit www.cuny.edu/financialaid

Academic ProgramsOccupational Therapy - Women’s Studies Financial Aid

For more information, visit www1.ccny.cuny.edu/prospective/med

ASAP (Accelerated Study in Associate Program)ASAP is designed to help students realize their goal of earning an associate degree as quickly as possible. Each year ASAP helps students get the most out of their college experience and save families thousands of dollars. ASAP students will benefit from: a strong community of motivated peers, experienced advisors who will help guide academic progress, career specialists who will help plan professional paths, consolidated course schedules designed to fit busy schedules, the opportunity to maximize extra-curricular activities, full tuition and grants available for students who demonstrate financial need, free use of textbooks each semester, and free monthly MTA Metro Cards.
