How To Get To Scout Camp Coutts, Waterfall NSW | Page 1 HOW TO GET TO SCOUT CAMP COUTTS, WATERFALL NSW Please follow these instructions with a dose of mindfulness if you have not been to Camp Coutts before, also refer to map below. 1. Take the Princes Highway to Waterfall. Driving south from Sydney towards Wollongong on the Princes Highway, Waterfall is the next suburb past Heathcote. To get to Camp Coutts you keep driving past the Waterfall exit (DO NOT EXIT AT WATERFALL) 2. 400 metres past Waterfall take the right hand exit lane. As you get to Waterfall you need to be in the right hand lane in order to take the right hand exit approx. 400 metres past Waterfall Station (YES, THAT’S A RIGHT HAND EXIT LANE!) 3. Follow the exit and signs to go back towards Sydney. The exit lane takes a loop over the north bound lanes of the Princes Highway and rejoins the highway, now going north. 4. As you rejoin the Highway KEEP AN EYE OUT for the Camp Coutts dirt road on the left. Just after rejoining the highway (now travelling back toward Sydney) there is a dirt road on the left hand side which has a small and “difficult to see” sigh Camp Coutts. The dirt road is not much more than a break in the Armco safety barrier. GO SLOWLY SO AS NOT TO MISS THE DIRT ROAD. The exit is just past where the loop road rejoins the Princes Highway. If you get back to Waterfall, you have gone too far – take the Waterfall exit, go over the overpass and rejoin the Highway going south and follow the above points 2 to 4 again. 5. Once on the dirt road follow it down the hill (perhaps a kilometer of winding trail) until you get to the main carpark and gate. You much leave your car in the parking area outside the gate during the retreat, although it is possible to drive through the gates to drop off your luggage and drive it back to the carpark.
